It’s not just the accent but the way a woman speaks, confidence, intelligence and a bit of cheek.

But add that to a Yorkshire one and I’m putty

I like well spoken. Accents in general don't really do it for me on their own.

Some people's voices have more of an effect than others though but that's mostly because I'm attracted to them already.

I really like very distinctive and expressive accents like Scouse and Glaswegian.

Love the Aussie accent too, think it's just a very friendly and laid back tone.

I don't have an accent that I really dislike as long as it's "authentic" I don't like when someone sounds fake

I think it's more an individual's tone and content, rather than accent as such. Only thing is that I have some difficulty in conversation with anyone that is very softly spoken, due to being too close to the speaker stacks at rock concerts which has left me with a touch of tinnitus.

I'm a sucker for an Irish accent, any from North to South.

I grew up in the South East of England and not a particular fan of my own accent. That Estuary English/Kent/Essex/London thing doesn't do anything for me.

The South West accent makes me laugh, so that can be a turn on.

The South African accent is a bit of a turn off, sorry. Just something I don't enjoy. That said I did date a South African on.and off for 2 years.

I really just don't have any ear for accents. Obviously I can tell when people talk differently to each other, but apart from the most extreme types of dialect I find it difficult to even guess what area someone comes from. Hence although on occasion I might hear a voice that somehow grates upon my nerves, I probably wouldn't be able to describe why, and wouldn't be able to generalise to any region.
