Canvey Island

Came back yesterday evening from a trip to the Cotswolds, and all I can say is wow!

It’s a world away from Essex

I loved it, the scenery, the quietness. Can fully understand why people love it there.

Had great fun, weekend away with group of friends for a birthday, couldn’t have asked for any more.

Cotswolds or the area around the top end of Salisbury plain are going to be my final house move before I leave the UK for good.

It’s so beautiful in that neck of the woods. I can see me chilling round there for a bit.

No not really! Far cheaper than places closer to London like Buckinghamshire etc.

If I could move there, I so would just for the quietness alone!

I absolutely love the Cotswolds. It's a place to fall in love, a place for epicure and a place to lose yourself from the world.

Even the gateway to the Cotswolds — Burford — has an 'olde worlde' allure that even the most prettiest of forumites would melt and go all gooey from its quaintly charm and fascination.

I took the ex-wife ^ there before the decree nisi. (She's up there somewhere)

Any dog lovers need to go to the Lygon Arms in Broadway - one of the nicest dog-friendly hotels I've been to!

Honestly if I could move there & commute into London once or twice a month I’d jump at it. Coming back to Essex was a culture shock.

Ha; up there somewhere! Yes. Hi. I adore the Cotswolds, I remember the first time visiting and the joy I felt. Burford is stunning.
