We use winks to show interest, if we get one back we send a message. If we get a wink, we usually message them if their profile interests us.

We think they’re a good way to gauge interest without messaging

They have a different use for different people.

So their use is sort of confusing at times.

Most I expect use them as an initial "hey I'm interested" but that only goes so far.

Imo it’s just like swiping right on tinder, or liking someone on hinge. Showing your interest in someone and then letting them make the next move whether they wink/message back, or ignore
