Which do you respond to more often?

If two posters post similar thoughts, do you react in the same way to both?

Do you ever find yourself getting irked/eyerolling by posts you yourself have done/do? This is with flirting in mind but there are other examples.

For just posting on threads it's more to do with the post.

When replying it's generally the poster as I know who won't get offended too much.

This is called a two fer one.

I'll jab at people I like and get on with. Knowing its in good sport.

Other's I'll avoid knowing, there is no sport to be had.

You quickly learn those on your wavelength.

I won't necessarily reply in the same way, because if I know someone better I may take this piss more for example.

I do eyeroll at some of the posts I've posted. Normally it's either because I just shouldn't comment because some people don't want to listen. And I certainly eyeroll at any old threads I've started, which is why I don't bother anymore.

I'm attracted to titles and then to responses and sometimes the person .....

Sometimes I look n leave without saying a word ...... and NEVER an eye roll.

Yes, I get that. You don't want to be facing a ban when you know they won't erm... appreciate your sense of humour. It's sometimes best to just steer clear.

Apologies. I didn't read clearly enough....

I don't eyeroll but I DO notice when people begin a thread and then an almost identical one is started and it gets attention whilst the other one doesn't. It often makes me think of sheep ... and disciples rather than the content matter.

Does irk me a bit when someone posts a good explanation / opinion and then a few posts down someone else presents it as their original thought.... It irks for about a nano second tho

If i were to differentiate it would probably be on the basis of content rather than who started. Maybe I've been grumpy recently but a few times I have thought, 'that's a ridiculous question, what age are you' and avoid

Once the thread has been started its out of the OPs control. As to individuals comments, of course I'm not going to agree with everything.

On the subject of similar threads, sometimes a post might spark a related question and generate another thread.

Seriously, I read the post/outburst/opinion/quip and I react.

I them might see it’s from someone I don’t know and see where things go. Sometimes it’s from someone I might know and a back and forth could happen.

I tend to reply to the post.

If the same thread was posted, I'm likely to respond to the one I notice first, though may add a slightly different perspective to the other, especially if questioned in differing ways.

Sometimes I respond to a particular member, if something relevent to them pops into my mind.

I like to think I reply to anyone, and react the same way to a point I agree/disagree with, irrespective of the poster. That's not to say there aren't people I'm more likely to engage with, whether because we're know each other better or I fancy them. Or both.

I definitely read some of MY attempts at flirting and roll my eyes! I try not to roll my eyes at others (I'll admit not always easy). I do grimace with any of the 'poster above' threads when people simply ignore rows of guys, but that's just because I like to follow rules in a game! I'm a nightmare to play Monopoly with.

I can't say my posts are ever that calculated. I might respond to someone I know better away from the forum... but that's very rare as there is literally only about 1 forum user I know. The rest of my comments would be post related only.

It's always the post for me. It doesn't matter who posts it, if the subject is something I can answer or grabs my attention then I'll add to it. None of my replies to people are usually done with flirting in mind, for me flirting only really works in person, text on a screen is too easily misinterpreted.

Always the post for me.

Though saying that there are some posters I generally avoid because I know it will just turn into just a few people taking over the thread and trying to out do each other.

I get that people will respond to people they fancy publicly but it’s a shame that they feel that it means missing out other people.

When I start a thread I will always try to respond to everyone but of course that is also time dependent and not wanting the thread to be about me

Both. If I see you posting Meli I'm pretty sure I wanna be involved. Same for some other forum friends. If it's someone I've blocked I tend to avoid so I don't feel hypocritical. But otherwise I'm all about the post.
