Shoe alternatives for posher bars/clubs

Can you get in wearing black trainers? Don’t go out on drink much and when do sick of the same local with same faces, heard morpeth is decent again but a few of the bars are fancy and require shoes, hate shoes though don’t own any as dress for comfort most time will black trainers do hsha?

Playing devil’s advocate, OP, perhaps those bars aren’t your thing? If they require shoes and you don’t like shoes, maybe there are other bars you haven’t yet tried that have a more relaxed dress policy?

If you’re dead set on them, how about a driving loafer with no socks? Or smart deck shoes?

You can’t go wrong with a decent brown brogue or Oxford and, if you go to a good shop, they can be comfortable.

You are right mate they probably not my thing at all just looking for a change of scene mostly every time we go out it’s the same faces same bar which isn’t an issue I enjoy drinking there just need to move on in life and meet new people not getting any younger a few mates suggest going there and was worried about not getting in as only wear trainers

I never actually thought about boots that’s a great idea ! Would Much prefer a pair them to shoes. Will buy a pair before next night out thank you

Yeah they look much more relaxed than shoes in my opinion, but still stylish. Always wear black socks though

Wear a pair of dark suede Chelsea boots, slip ons, no need to aimlessly fumble with laces, relatively inexpensive. Alternatively, a pair of black Chukka boots. Your feet will thank you for it and you may even get a sartorial nod of approval from the opposite sex.

Failing that, just blag a pair of counterfeit retro-style Sergio Tacchini™ trainers and imbibe at your nearest Wetherspoon 'bar'.

Definitely and more comfortable to wear too, only own black socks no other colours haha

Haha mate the weatherspoons here is the poshest bar in town believe it or not, well maybe not now since top club became the lairds house a land mood opened but I consider them restaurants not bars

I’ll look at those suggestions cheers mate honestly it’s not so much lack of effort I just like what’s comfortable 99% of time in work gear or gym clothes only get dressed a bit to go out
