Had a blast in 98!

Think it was one of the wettest on record but still loved it. People floating past on inflatable chairs, diving through the mud.think I remember James, blur and I think the foos were there.

Been twice and never seen a drop of rain. Apply for tickets every year but half-heartedly. It’s an amazing experience but I can think of better things to spend over a grand on.

That said this year’s lineup is the best it’s been for a while (if you discount the Foos, who weren’t even meant to be there)

I love the fact that the foo fighters must have driven past my road today. I love and hate this weekend. Non stop helicopters, but the rest of the local population have all moved to worthy farm. On the tv, (with my own nice clean toilet). Foo fighters and Carly Rae jepson (don’t judge me) have been amazing.

Never been, never wanted to go, never will go. I was put off festivals for life at 15yo (Knebworth '79), not because of the music (it was Zeppelin after all) but being in a sea of people, hot, uncomfortable, lack of facilities, etc. Not keen on outdoor shows generally tbh and wouldn't want to sit/stand through stuff I wasn't interested in.

This is true. But also best not tell them LG said he voted Green in 2019!

On the OP, I've never been. Kind of regret that - I was a part-indie kid in the 90s and there were a couple of years when loads of friends went (97/98 ish) and I know I'd have had a great time, but somehow figured it wasn't for me. Don't 'regret' it enough to go now though - I'll just be an armchair fan.

As for this year: Kelis, I love you.

Imagine turning it political when for 99.9% of people it’s just a fun weekend "

Is this just not a gathering of middle class white people in Winnebagos

I hazard a wild guess that there are more tents at Glastonbury than Winnebagos.

Ok middle class white folks living like homeless people for a fre days?

I didn't realise Glastonbury doesn't allow entry for working class or ethnic minorities

It doesn’t that’s the irony!"

Are you ok?

Last glistens I went to about 10 years ago was blown away by psychedelic legend System 7 and gong infused together and wish they would do it again. It was the glade stage which had its own festival for a few year and their first festival was my best festival and I was my best.

I’m only watching on the telly, but … The Chicks were really good this afternoon. Carly Rae Jepsen was a lot of fun. Leftfield were bangin’. The Manics were okay. I don’t feel like I’ve seen any standouts yet this year though.

Last year, I thought Self Esteem’s set was incredible. A real levelling up moment for her. And Per Shop Boys played a blinder.

I've been 4 times...last time was either 2003 or 2004...I find it very hard to watch on TV I go green with envy.. This year I've watched Manic Street Preachers, The Pretenders and Leftfield, may watch some more tonight. I'm currently listening to BBC Radio 6 and they're playing bands from the live sets. I'm hoping to get back to Glastonbury again it is an amazing Festival...24 hours of entertainment...Love it!!

I’d like to go but not sure I could camp there. And if it was one of those wet rainy Glastonbury’s I would be miserable! I also need reliable access to a toilet.

So I think I’m best off watching it on the telly. Far from Saint’s are playing the Avalon stage at 6:20 tonight, I’d definitely go and watch them. And Elton. I want to see who his Special Guests are

"Dreadful festival. Full of loony lefties crying about climate change. Went Liam Gallagher at Knebworth last year. Now that was different class"

Liam Gallagher and class are two things that will never go together.

He's never made it past being 14. Of all the gigs i've done, his was right up there as one of the worst- from the complete inability to hit half of his notes or enunciate most of the lyrics in any intelligible form, to the knuckle dragging neandethals that revere him as some sort of god, as they neck the cheapest lager they can find in huge quantities, then spit, puke and piss on the floor wherever they're standing, before returning to bellowing boorishly at each other without any resemblance of toilet training or manners until its time to commence with the football thug posturing and inevitable ego driven fight.

The man is cretinous chav, who somehow discovered wealth, but never escaped being dragged up in the arse end of Manchester
