This is a terrible thing to afflict anyone as their is no respite from the voices in your head.

I would also aak you to spare a thought for their partner whose mental health deteriorates through the years to the point of breakdown.

My brother recently left his partner of over thirty years for this reason.

. A friend's sister almost left her husband over this too. Genuine OCD (not just needing your tin labels facing the right way) is a nightmare for everyone concerned.
