Warks / Northants Border

Many years ago, a rather boho pub near Northampton marketed a 'Summer Ale' which they were selling on draft. It was little known at the time, but can be bought from Tesco for less than £2 a bottle now.

Früli - a strawberry ale from Belgium.

Does anyone else have a little known fruity ale, beer, etc which they think others might like to discover?

"Fruli is dangerous "

Oh it most certainly is! Like a misleading cocktail - in beer form!

Brewdog Neon Dream is nice, although it's a wheat beer not an ale

Not overly helpful but I have a mate who runs his own micro brewery coincidentally in Northampton too ..

I'm usually the guinea pig for his new creations...

Such a hard task

In my drinking days I used to love banana bread beer. Nice dark ale with subtle banana and malt flavour was awesome.

Oh wow! I forgot about that stuff. I only ever found it once. At a pub next to a canal! Unfortunately, I don't remember where either the pub or the canal is!

Hmm...

I need to try this this hand-cream beer. Where do I find it?

PS. From reading this thread, it does seem like I'm a heavy drinker. I'm not, I just like trying new things.
