Although there was this one time a profile from someone from the forum chose to tell me in a DM I was ‘ passive aggressive because I didn’t reply to a forums post of theirs ( or something like that, I can’t remember the detail .’

You never get time to reply when they block.

People block to limit interactions and other similar reasons.

I don't send many messages these days, however when and if I do, and there is zero interest in me returned, I block. It removes them from the pool I see when searching, and I'm no longer tempted to try again down the line.
