Hello,

I'm a psychologist so I tend to analyse human behaviour, I promise I'm fun at parties lol.

I'm curious to hear why dudes think woman want unsolicited dick pictures. I'm talking first message before even a hello.

Curious if men think that its somehow going to stand them out from other pennies havers?

And women, does a dick pic ever actually work for you?

Thanks

Does absolutely nothing for me! If they’re there on public images then fine but when it’s in a message, a first message no less, it just puts me off immediately

Morning....

I like to see the "dick pic" prior to a meet to be honest...

I definitely need to find it attractive to want to fuck with it...

Random dick pics in first messages are deleted... and rarely get horny by seeing dick pics

Doesn't work for me. Let's be honest they're not very photogenic either...

But I think they do it to shock and/or for the thrill... A bit like flashing, just minus the mac & you can do it anytime.

Dick pic in a profile? All good.

Dick pic in an opening message? Not good.

Dick pick requested? All good.

Dick pic unsolicited? Not good.

Pretty sure that summarises it nicely for us.

You’re the psychologist OP you tell us

Honestly i get it a little of why.

When you compare the male body to the female we kinda only have one part that society asks us to cover up and that is sexualised. Hence if feels a little naughty to send a dick pic.

I think we can also look at reproductive organs and the primeval urge to attract a mate using said organs.

Why do you think OP?

Dick pics, we get the ability to take and send photos and what do we do, take pictures of our cocks. It's our most treasured possession

In fab where every man has his cock out it's different. Scarcity has a value.

I suspect the answer lies in more than one place.

Firstly, most men know that flashing your dick in public wil lead to being arrested. The internet affords an element of anonymity that de-risks this activity somewhat.

As for the deep seated psyche that makes this an exciting passtime? I don’t know, I’m not a psychologist.

One other driving factor may be the differences in what arouses men and women. If a woman sent me a nude picture unsolcited I would probably find it more attractive and more exciting than a woman would when sent a dick pic. Perhaps a lot of these men haven’t matured enough to understand how little it does for women and genunely believe that a woman seeing their engorged girth will suddenyl become so horny at what they see they will struggle to restrain themselves.

I suspect their is also a small element of narcisism involved, believing their to be the biggest, baddest veiny treat of them all, or they get a peverse kick out of humiliation.

There are probably as many reasons as their are men who do it.

Though as a sociologist I’d argue that this behaviour reflects gendered socialisation, opinions on women’s role and value in a society and power relations as much as anything in our brains.

Hello,

I'm not a psychologist can you imagine if I was, but I tend to analyse human behaviour, I promise I'm a lunatic at parties lol.

I get shown a lot of dongs, often unsolicited and sometimes I'll ask patiently why that approach was chosen.

The amount of different reasons is fucking spectacular to me. Like, honestly I don't have enough time on my coffee break to list the ones just off the top of my head.

Hope this helps even though it clearly says absolutely nothing, fuck productivity on Fridays!

My theory is a form of human peacocking. Some men feel they have the biggest dick (brightest feathers) and it will get them a mate.

But it's always good to hear from the men who do it. It isn't a human psychological issue, more a male one. Not many woman send unsolicited fanny pics, so it seems a solely male phenomenon

Surely guys know by now that most women don’t like an unsolicited dick pic. I find it interesting why some guys still insist on sending them. Perhaps it’s a lack of knowing how different the male and female minds works? Let’s face it, most guys wouldn’t be offended by an unsolicited tit pic.

I don't do duck pics but like boobs it's that part of the body that is hidden yet, as we are led to believe, the opposite sex (or even the same sex if bi or gay) wants to see.

It's a great question OP, because as much as I'm curious as to what a woman's boobs look like, I'd never expect to receive a picture of them in a first message and indeed, I never have.

Maybe it's like when women and men tell a story, women (in my experience) get to the point at the end of the story (having shared lots of other facts first), whilst men get straight to the point at the beginning of the story.

I'd be interested to know how well the dic-pic withe the first message strategy works.

It's because they're not thinking about what the other person wants, that's the most important thing to them at the time of sending the picture, they're literally thinking with their dick.

People in general have a cognitive empathy problem and struggle to comprehend the world from someone else's perspective. Sending dick pics is just another example of this.

Let’s get this straight. I don’t do it and never have

I think you could be on to something though. It is difficult on a site like fab to actually flex anything else that a male might think is attractive. Such as wealth, job, car, etc.

It could be as simple as men are leads to believe that all women on fab are looking to have sex constantly so therefore just want to show and tempt those women into what that particular male believes is the most important piece of anatomy for sex

Oh I love psychologists they are so much fun. Their defence mechanisms are so multi-faceted. It's like a chess game of GYNYSOB.

What makes you curious about that particular theory?

If I want intimacy, which I do - then standing out is an irrelevance. Being congruent is the most viable way to achieve an authentic connection. So, I start out as I mean to proceed. I may want to stick my cock in your face at some point, but let's at least have coffee first? Or play chess. See if there's some mutual desire and what that feels like.

So an unsolicited cock pic just wouldn't be reflective of what I seek.

Also, I consider it a matter of consent so on that basis I think it has some very negative connotations.

I'm lost on this too, (and this is Disco Balls writing). It also happens on dating apps. Maybe it's nbecause I just wouldnt and work on the principle that I wouldnt say anything to someone online that i woukdnt say to them if id met them in the pub. I've often thought that if I was a psychology studenti would love to do my thesis on this issue and why people feel able to interact the way that they do on social platforms and differently to the way that they would face to face.

I think, generally we do tend to judge and assume by our own actions, fears and desires.

As men tend to be the more visual, and with the addition of porn, I think it's simply that don't attempt to get into the thought process of those they're trying to attract, instead offering what they see as appealing, and as men often prefer the attention to their penis when in the act, more than any other of their body parts, that's what they offer.

I think it's because a lot of men simply don't realise that just because they enjoy showing it doesn't mean a woman enjoys seeing. They don't understand that a woman seeing a cock won't give her the same level of excitement as a man seeing a pair of boobs (or whatever body part they like).

They think that women are essentially the same as men in when it comes to seeing body parts of the opposite sex, but they are not. A random penis is not an object of desire for most women. They don't get this at all.

Some dick pics definitely do work for me but that's because of who they belong to. It's the whole package of the person.

Some also are far more photogenic than others and there's a big difference between the men who make an effort with these pictures and the ones who just get it out and snap a picture.

I have a friend who I've seen on and off for the best part of 18 years. I love him dearly and we have epic sex. He has no clue how to take a decent picture but clearly likes sharing them with me. I've never had the heart to tell him I dislike them because that's something he is obviously enjoying in some way, they aren't a entirely unsolicited either, usually he's trying to tell me how much a thought or a memory of me is doing for him. And in turn, I like that knowledge.

Its only acceptable from him though because I know him so well, we have history etc.

Randoms no thank you.

I always think it would be interesting to know if women send similar unsolicited pictures?
