Can't say the two mix

M was carving the beef and a very sharp knife later, a couple of hours ago took the top of his thumb off

Not feeling well now and funnily enough my appetite went.

Oh I hope he's ok. I like the site of my own blood when I cut myself or have blood taken but don't think I would be keen to see it decorating my dinner

Good, if you want to play nurse feel free as the patient is not doing as his told, e.g. keeping it elevated or else hospital which he has refused to go to, so maybe if we find something else to distract him he'll wave his arms in the air

Nope not bang to the head but the amount of blood loss looks like someone has been murdered in the house haha, the next door neighbour did say to keep an eye on him

Losing part of your thumb can be very traumatic!!

Your hitch-hiking becomes harder!

X-box becomes painful!

And gripping things can become tricky - the lids of jam jars, steering wheels - and let's hope it wasn't his wanking hand!!!

And have you put on a nurses outfit yet? It's compulsory you know during home care!!

It is his left hand and he is right handed so all is not lost!

Nurses outfit, no as wasted while he sleeps..

But hey open to visits for say the next hour, give him time to recuperate

Done similar myself, as a chef I treated myself to a shiny razor sharp kai chef knife, was preping daupinoise potatoes, decided to use the new knife, second cut went through top nail, through skin to bone and round flash at side of my middle guiding finger. Any pressure on knife would have resulted in top finger gone through bone. Urgh. Last week and still not nice lol

Think we are doomed, I just stabbed myself in the palm of my hand with an end of the knife, fortunately not the same one but still blood everywhere

I did that once.. Was cutting onion for a skillet mix in work and sliced my finger open.. Damn near took top of it off..
