The use of the term is a negative implications that one party dislikes or can't accept the fact someone they like won't and doesn't want to have sex with them. Being friends should never have any negative connotations. If you think you've been friendzoned then that's a 'you' issue, not a 'them' issue. A | |||

That’s the one and yeah, I get what you’re saying about pet names, I really think they’re used on an individual basis depending what the person themselves are comfortable with, for example working in the service industry you don’t know the persons name most of the time, no need to so a term like mate is a good replacement, or at least not a too bad one. I can think of worse names to call people and I’m sure others can too | |||
