All over

Inspired by another thread and a little disagreement I had about one of them with a friend recently, I will be interested for some pros and cons of any of the cities below that you have good knowledge of. You can comment about more than just one of them and can be about either living in or visiting. Thanks

London

Leeds

Liverpool

Birmingham

Manchester

Cardiff

Glasgow

Edinburgh

Newcastle

Sheffield

Bristol

Belfast

London - I’ve been once and I’ll never go back. People are in far too much of a rush.

Manchester- My home town, It will always be home, but I’d never go back. People are nice, just a bit too full on for me now. Great for a party.

Covent Garden

For selfish reasons every City above becomes a temporary world heritage site if there's a playdate on the cards.

I am glad you explained the reason.

I think I know what you mean in both cases

Cardiff because it's got everything you could ever want from a city, I love it so much I can't think of any cons I'm afraid.

Glasgow - vibrant food, music, arts scene. You'll have a great night out. An abundance of parks and museums to visit. Has a subway. Great variety of shops. You may get to see me if you visit.

Cons - the subway is small and only does a loop. The city centre has become dingy in the last few years, needs a clean up. It rains quite a bit.

for a penny

All cities are too busy for me and I couldn’t live on one any more.

Birmingham was a shithole when I lived there in the 70s but I like to spend time there now.

Bristol is fantastic for food and printmaking.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city and geared towards visitors.

London has everything but I actually get anxious in the crowds. Can’t believe I worked there for ten years.
