Would it put you off if someone said they have ADHD? Asking for a friend!

Totally I mean I have ADHD so that would be like ADHD squared who knows what could happen: it could create a portal to the underworld and release a horde of demons.

Why?

Which adhd characteristic should be a problem?

No. I'd be uncomfortable with someone who couldn't handle neurodiversity though

Exactly! I’m uncomfortable with everyone who can’t handle any diversity

Would be a little hypocritical of me.

Not at all, I’m autistic so wouldn’t feel right saying no just because somebody had adhd

Adhd and autism here, I can go as long as I want in bed as well! Only need to see something shiny and that’s it! Starting from the beginning

Can confirm this is EXACTLY what happens, and what they don’t tell you is it’s YOUR responsibility to go on a quest to round up said demons with the person you released them with!

Wouldn’t put us off at all! We’d like to know in advance if there’s anything we should be aware of so there’s nothing awkward on the night but that’s it

Put me off? No.

Could I live in a relationship with them?

Depending on the severity, probably also no.

I had a colleague with it, and the lack of organisation, time management and ability to multitask etc would probably frustrate me over time if I’m totally honest.

Am I a c*nt for saying this? Probably, maybe definitely, yes.

of course you’re not. You’re being honest. I wouldn’t because I have to live with it every day of my life and this is an escape for me so yeah it would put me off.

Everybody's experience is different. My daughters adhd for example allows her to hyperfocus.

This I have had a few bad experiences dating / spending time with bipolar persons that didn’t preemptively warn upfront ..

No but I'm ADHD Autistic. I get on effortlessly with other neurodivergent people. I would be more put off if they were neurotypical.

No. Half my family has ADHD so it's fairly normal in my world. The other have is autistic. Meeting neurotypical people would probably be more of an issue as I don't often spend much time with them!

Not at all, it's handy to know though because communication can be a little different depending on how it presents in the individual person. But having ADHD, Autism or a combination of both is not something I find "off putting"

ADHD, Autism, PTSD - all the anxiety that comes with them and a few physical injuries from previous job.

If I was an animal, I would of been put down years ago

Makes communicating hard and it's difficult for people to read me.

Au+ADHD here. My guess is that it's plenty of neurospicy people here, even if many of them don't know it
