 , I was seeking opinions on AI and how much people know or are engaged with it. Does it worry you or excite you? As far as I am concerned, the jurry is still out. Used appropriately and with regulation and controls could help find solutions in a range of important fields. Used,as saddly seems to be the case at the moment in it's rapid and uncontrolled manner, can change society and accepted norms irretrievably and not in a good way.
However, it's not realy something I should have posted a thread on as a bit 'high brow' and I usually prefer the 'low brow' posts on breakfast, cake, chocolate and what's for dinner so lets archive this one unless someone feels particularly keen to share their informed opinions | |||

Is it going to change things? For sure. In the short term it's a definite threat to google, I think it will made the current search engine obsolete. Google makes ££ selling ads so they have to be concerned With regard to other areas I do think it will start changing industries and employment. I think nvidia are already seeing their future in providing ai for military purposes. | |||
