Summer Solstice-Brighton naturist beach

So tomorrow, I'm heading out of the Big Smoke with great trepidation to get my kit off for the longest day of the year...

I messaged a few people to ask for any tips on going to Brighton Naturist Beach but more are concerned with getting me to go to Bristol Gardens to play with them instead. Lol!

So I'd open it to the wisdom of the forumites!

Please be kind. My neurodivergent brain is already ramping up my anxiety as I haven't gone to another part of the UK on my own since 2010.

if it should ever...R word ( whisper: rain)...I intend to take my tent...assuming I can pop it out and pop it in again. Yeah haven't used my tent since 2010 either.

Brighton - even Hove!

What a fool of a Took, I am! I need to start reading posts and profiles and books that don’t have laser battles in them.

I suggested Bristol Gardens! Hahahaha! But not for sex, mind, so only a 24% fail there.

I'll be in Brighton tomorrow, but not for sunbathing. The weather looks pretty good at the moment, enjoy!

We've never been to the beach as such but we've been nearby. How are you getting there?

I will say it was a mixture of good and bad...mostly good.

good: I brought my pop up tent

good: when it started to get cold, the tent was warm.

good: I managed to get the tent back into it's circle form first try on the beach. Good entertainment watching a naked (apart from socks and shoes my feet were cold!) middled age woman wrangling a pop up tent.

Good: It was warm enough most of the time.

Good: Lots of sunshine.

Good: chatted to normal cool local nudists.

Bad: full-clothed perves with phones out looking at us nudists.

Bad: perves made me so uncomfortable that I shouted at them. ( went in tent and zipped it up for 2 hours. People ..eww)

Bad: Drone ( see went in tent)

Bad: I forgot my towel ( good: I went o Primark and got one. Lol)

Bad: I got on the wrong train so it took ages to get home.

Good day over all.

that's enough naked group activities for me for a while.

Forgot good. Proud of myself for not having a full-blown anxiety/panic attack while traveling, wrangling tent or coping with perves.

A lot for a neurodivergent person alone.

I was going to say exactly the same!

Now you’ve proven you can do things like this and get through the bad stuff when it happens, you can explore more.

Letting yourself be who you really are is the best

Good for you Ronnie.

It's one thing for a single female to head to the naturist beach alone, it's another thing doing it for the first time, and another thing again being neurodivergent.

Really pleased for you that you had a good time. The amazing city of Brighton & Hove welcomes you back with open arms. x

I do own moth balls sir. Tent was intact and very handy for avoiding sunburn and windchill and avoiding perves or suddenly feeling vulnerable for no reason. Lol!
