"Enemy starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Where to begin with this one? Well it involves him discovering that he has a doppelgänger (or does he?) and lots of bizarrely interjected references/images of spiders and spiders webs throughout the running time… The ending is truly one of the biggest, ‘What the actual fuck??!!!??’ moments that I have ever witnessed in a film (and not in a good way either!) Ostensibly, I am a bloody philistine though, as the film is a metaphor (according to its cult fan base at least). Well, if this is indeed the case, then not only is it bloody weird and confused film, but I’ll hastily add that it’s bloody crass and pretentious one to! " Sounds like one I need to check out, would you rate it a good watch though?

"Tenet Even after googling it afterwards I was none the wiser (it looked good though). " I wanted to see that when it came out but never got round to it

It was absolutely terrible in my opinion The most I could say for it is that it was competently made at least and Jake gives a very good, intense performance. I can really only recommend it to witness just how utterly confusing a movie can be. The ending as I mentioned previously, will leave your jaw on the floor guaranteed

"Another confusing (but sadly, not in a good way) one: Inception. Christopher Nolan strikes again with an all star, big budget, CGI bloated and frankly grotesquely self indulgent and pretentious mess which is very clearly, HEAVILY inspired by the film, Dreamscape from 1984 starring Dennis Quaid (which was actually a much better movie in my opinion) " I really do love that movie the sound track and story and visuals were amazing

"Interstellar is probably the 'simplest' to follow but still requires full concentration for me followed by Inception, although admittedly, I have only seen it once. Tenet is the one which I don't really follow. Watching again with subtitles may assist my understanding. Films which genuinely confuse me are the Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises. They seem to meander and wander. " Really? I find the stories of those easy to follow but the Harry Potter books make it way easier to follow

"No list of confusing movies would be complete without mention of a certain Mr David Lynch, of course. And what better example than his cult ‘classic’ Eraserhead. It’s certainly weird (but really not very wonderful) and highly confusing. It does nonetheless boast a sizeable fan following….apparently… " It’s a fantastic film , so much going on in there , it’s about Karma, fear of fatherhood, the bible and lots more ! Fast & Furious confused the hell out of me, is it a really a movie? Or a joke

The touching story of conjoined (but subsequently separated) brothers Duane and Belial. The films are really rather batshit crazy…and quite fun

"Yeah quite a few films actually can't be be asked to name all but most of the Fast and Furious films and any film that involves time travelling Interstellar and everything everywhere all at once left me like ??" I loved everything everywhere all at once.

"Mother, I get the narrative but gosh what the hell." Oh Mother! is a special kind of what the hell. I loved it but it was very disturbing. For me, it's a bit of an indie film - I'm Thinking of Ending Things. I loved ESofSM and Synecdoche, New York so thought I'd give it a go. Maybe I was too tired but I really struggled.

"The Matrix 2 & 3 impenetrable and a slap in the face to the original." The Matrix 4 (Resurrections) is even worse. I’m not sure about confusing, rather just plain awful and frankly needless (other than a cynical cash grabbing ploy of course)

"Akira When I saw it as a kid, after the bike chase intro I thought... Wow this gonna be action packed Safe to say I had to watch a few times before I sort of got And Donnie Darko That took a bit of research and is still a bit of a head scratcher " Ah yes; Donnie Darko… I’d heard such good things said about it and went in really wanting to enjoy it. Unfortunately, I really didn’t. At all

If anyone could explain Primer to me, you're probably a genius. Time paradox movies are interesting but this one requires a PhD.

"Sucker Punch was sort off confusing on first watch. Donnie Darko.." Sucker Punch is great. If I have to Google a movie afterwards to see what it was all about, then yeah it was confusing. That list for me would also include Donnie Darko and Inception; the film Revolver is on that list too.

Inception I didn't find confusing to be honest, thought Memento was more confusing but I do enjoy his movies
