I was referring to mature younger men. It's a mindset and if they feel the need to state that they have it to prove themselves than it directly contrasts what being mature for your age actually is.

I always talked to my son, involved him in decisions, let him make his own mind up and his own mistakes. I think he's very mature for his age, obviously he has his moments, but don't we all?
