New tech : are you a first adopter or do you wait a while?

Are you one of those people that needs to have that new gadget or new tech straight away?

Do you queue outside the Apple Store waiting until midnight so you can be the first to buy the new iPhone?

Do you take a day off work when the new Call of Duty game is launched so you can play it all day?

Or do you prefer to wait, let others deal with the glitches and bugs and adopt later - or maybe never at all?

I’m much the latter personally, not bothered about being the first. Currently on an iPhone 8 only because my 6 broke when I dropped it!

And back in the day when I used to play FIFA on my PSP (yes, THAT long ago!) I used to always wait a year before getting a game - that way a second hand copy was always about 99p in Game while the latest version was about £40 ..

But what about YOU, Fabsters? I’m curious to know!

I usually wait, but when Yaesu released the FT 710 AESS I was balls deep in purchasing it!

I’m not fussy about getting the newest gadgets. I wait until mr is due for an upgrade and he gives me his old phone

I did order a steam deck v early But having being burnt before with various early glitches and firmware problems I've learned to wait.
