i might be moving down with work in bristol to take up a office based job and am looking for a room to rent from mon to fri and the odd weekend

Congratulations. Are you selling your tractor?

Can't help with rooms, as I've only looked in one area of Bristol for my own needs, except to say that anywhere you can book on a mon-fri basis is probably called a 'hotel'!
