"That most friends you help out will do fuck all if you ever asked the same back and most will disappear when you no longer have anything to offer them"

God I feel that. I used to be the one to always offer my time and energy, would always go out of my way to message my ‘friends’ to catch up, see how they are etc. Especially during covid, we were helping out two sets of friends with food shops, one couple lives over an hour away yet we helped with a five month old baby.

But when my mental and physical health got bad, they did fuck all. No messages, no check ups, no popping in - nothing. Was a huge wake up call, because they all bitched about each other to me, but they were suddenly all best pals. Ah well. Not my issue anymore

Although I now have like….no friends lol. I have a few mum-friends from my sons nursery, but it’s not the same

That’s really shitty after going g to great lengths to consistently help them out prior. Unfortunately most are like this in my experience I have 2 really good mates who have and I know would help when needed. I don’t like to end friendships but the ones I know are all for self I just refuse to do owt for anymore as hard as it is to say no

Not everyone will have the same mind set and heart as you do. People only care about themselves. You can give your all to people but when you at your lowest no one is there and no one seems bothered to check up on you. Never give your all. Never wear your heart on your sleeve. Learn not to give so much when people can walk all over you and ignore you. People will always talk whether it's at work or anywhere else. Never mistaken kindness for weakness. Just because a person is smiling doesn't mean they are happy. Probably went overboard lol

Learn to love yourself (not masturbation, although if you’re getting that wrong ) as in the end it’s down to you those successes and failures. Once you appreciate what you actually are and what you’re capable of, then you could be too far down the road to enjoy them.
