What you hoping for? What do you normally get?

Is pants & socks still a good gift?

I get to take mine out for dinner and usually get surprised with quite random things like happy skin from lush and weird coffee beans and a card telling me how lucky I am signed ‘your favourite financial burden’

Lots of merciless piss taking. I think deep down they love me. They're shit at presents, but that's ok, so am I.

Usually it's something small and inexpensive, which is fine.

However, the word on the cobbled streets of London is that I may be getting a voucher which allows me to go around some iconic places in and around the City with a photographer who will show this old fool how to take proper photos with his rather decent smartphone.

Got their dad a multi tool thingy with a special message on it as he likes gadgets. Also got him a book and some wine gums as well as the handwritten card.

It’s not long after his birthday so always find it hard to think of new stuff he’s not already had.

I've been told years ago not to bother with such things, and I'll skip the wrath that attaches to such disobedience

STEVENAGE

J gets homemade cards and random itums around the house wrapped in layers of home made wrapping paper. Lol.

Plus a family meal. And a novelty gift that our daughter chooses.

But thinking about showing love and appreciation for loved ones. Why wait for a set given day?

Something J has done for as long J always makes me a cup of coffe the seconed I come down stairs in the morning. My daughter makes me cards and leaves me notes to find. I make home baked goodies at the weekend for them.

Its the little gestures to each other that show how much they mean to us.

Dont wait for a set day, every day is special.

I'm always a fan of something home made... Even if it's pure crap or just a home made card. It shows effort and affection.

Everyone is different though so it's understanding the persons nature, likes etc.
