Reading

Watching tv and advert on there for insurance with Meerkats and Wombat.

How many of you have either been on receiving or had added , forgot to add ingredient to a meal.

Mine was years ago. Friend’s wife cooked a meal. She was from Italy. Starter, main dishes and dessert . She forgot I was allergic to cheese and added a lot to several of main dishes. Could not taste , due to spices etc. Ended up in hospital next day with suspected food poisoning. She was very upset. Must admit really enjoyed dishes . Except for being ill.

So how many of you will admit to doing or receiving.

Tonypandy.

Mistook sugar for salt and made sweet pizza base.

Slightly burnt chocolate and passed it off as 'smoked honeycomb' crunch.

Made beer can chicken. Forgot to open can. Blew up all over oven.

I don't 'cook'... Best I can do is an omelette. Threw hot oil up my arm 2 days before a beach hol years ago... So that was nice

Was making a steak sauce once that I'd made before but for some reason on this occasion added oil to the pan before the wine. Exploded all over the ceiling.
