Is anyone currently doing/done one?

I started mid-April, 10000 steps a day and I've been upping it by 250 steps every week.

I'm loving the physical and mental benefits a bit of walking and fresh air can bring you everyday.

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I'm not doing one, but well done, OP.

Fresh air sounds a little adventurous to me at the moment. Tis warm out there.

Tonypandy.

Not intentionally doing one, but i set the phone step counter for 6000 steps and haven't gone below it since march.

Averaging 9350 a day.

On night shift it's 15000+ steps a shift, which includes climbing 900 stairs (3x300)

Still a fat old bugger though.

I find it really difficult to reach 10k steps a day. Even when I work 12-plus hour shifts I still don't reach it.

I might turn my step counter on and see how many I get in around the kitchen in a shift at work

Dubai & Nottingham

I’m not tracking currently, the last 3 fitbits disintegrated so looking at a smart ring next.

I do 25mins commute twice a day that involves 2 seven minute walks outside and 5 through a metro station, so I get around 7,500 a day doing that. I stand at work so move more and get 4-6K while working. So I get at least 12.5K mon-Thurs excluding training. A trip to the mall gets me 10k , boxing / squash 4K, I notice when in holiday I’m always 20K + hiking around cities or mountains

Good for you OP I try to do at least 15,000 a day on my days off…

Luckily at work it’s easy as I’m clicking around 20,000-25,000 a day walking around the railyard building trains together.

But I love nothing more than grabbing the dogs lead on my days off and heading to the hills.

Keep it up if you’re walking at a pace it’s as beneficial as jogging

Is the lead already on the dog or is the dog staring and thinking I hope he doesn't run off with my lead again

Ha no I’m at work today, I’ll walk him later for my own sanity. He stays with my ex as he’s my daughters pet as much as anyone else’s. But like with my daughter we share him between both houses too,

I’m already at 8,700 steps

I do around 25k a day on average, I can understand why some people who do under 10k can struggle with weight issues

How is everyone's challenge going?

I'm up to 12,500 steps from today, I'm done in every night and my trainers are disintegrating but I'm loving it!

I'm glad you're loving it OP!

I was doing over 25,000 most days but now I've left work I'm only hitting 12,000 or so which isn't awful but definitely not enough to keep me fit and healthy with weight loss. I'll have to try and squeeze in an extra few thousand somehow.

I’m not doing a specific challenge, but my average over the past year is just over 17,000 steps per day.

I play golf 2 or 3 times a week, which boosts the numbers, walk to the shops every day rather than take the car for one weekly shop, and enjoy going for long walks when I get the chance. In a good summer month, I’ll manage over 20,000 per day, more of a challenge in winter to keep the numbers up.

La la land

Well done OP, always good to use trackers to push yourself onwards. I found that once I go past a certain amount of steps. I don't have enough time to get more in (can't run had a knee OP) so I have to add hills etc rather than just do flat walking.

That's an amazing amount! I could do that on a city break for about 3 or for days at most and then I'd collapse haha.
