Equal rights for breasts

Why are men's bare breasts OK in public outdoor spaces such as parks and beaches but women's bare breasts seen to be obscene? I've seen in my time guys with bigger cup sizes and quite defined breasts topless, no problem. Yet a woman of any cup size topless and its an issue. Why is the distinction on if bare breasts are obscene or not base on if the owner of said breasts is male or female.

It makes no sense at all. Although we're naturist so the idea that naked bodies are obscene and immoral seems mental to us as well to be fair.

And that's just talking about things in terms of the CIS population. Throw in how this relates to non-CIS people and it gets even more complicated.

So can we all agree that there is nothing immoral or obscene about anyone being topless in public spaces?

(Probably preaching to the converted here)

Society, porn, media, social media etc is to blame. Women's breasts have been sexualised for such a long time it's ingrained into us.

I am totally against breasts being sexualised (unless I actively seek the sexualisation). The mammory glands (breasts) ONLY use is to feed a baby/child and it bugs me when we can't walk around topless when we want. Well.. We can, it isn't an offence unless people are distressed and no doubt old Mary down the road will have a jittery heart after seeing some boobs bobbing about.

I have very strong opinions on boobs and the world we live in.

We're bringing our kids up to understand that boobs aren't a sexual organ. (age appropriate discussions). Our 5 and 6 year old still love cuddles with my boobs

Pretty similar to us. I wonder if any action would be taken if I complained to the authorities that I was offended by topless men wandering around? I bet no. But pretty sure I'd be taken to task if the complaint was about me and my lady boobs.

Our 6yo likes to cuddle up on my boobs too. I can't tolerate her poking them anymore though. I developed a nursing aversion in lockdown and I'm no longer keen on her physically handling them much.

Exactly, without wasting police time - I'd love to know what their answer would be to me complaining about a topless man in town. To be honest, I do wonder if anyone would actually not like women walking around topless in town? (I don't mean men enjoying the view either). But maybe we're making a big song and dance out of it because we're actually too 'scared' to try it.. Circling back round to the fact it's ingrained into us that boobs are a sexual organ.

Hmm, I might need to perform an experiment.

Don't get me started on aversions Mine were so bad I had to feed two children from one breast

Ohhhhhhhhhh there'll be a Mildred or a a Michael who is very traditional and family oriented and that will manifest itself as a complete and firm objection to indecency, which is what naked lady boobs will be! Just the reactions of some people to breastfeeding in public (when the vast majority of the breast is covered by a child's head) should tell us all we need to know!

Because the ladies get green eyes and complain about it. Most men simply don't give a shit about it, add in a wife/gf stood next to them and they become outraged about it for her...

That's the main thing I love about our naturist/nudist community. No jealousy

In the strict sense of English law, women do actually have as much right to go topless as men do. Any type of nudity in public is legal as long as its not outraging public decency or indecent exposure. In reality a topless woman is definitely more likely to have someone complain about it and they may well get arrested, however, if the woman is just going topless in the same way a man would with no intention to harass, cause alarm or distress, then they wouldn't hit the threshold to be charged or taken to court.

Basically, if enough women had the courage to make a stand, go out topless, keep getting arrested and released without charge and take collective action against the police for wrongful arrest, then eventually the media would get it into the general publics heads the women can do as they like lawfully.

Women are free to go topless aren't they?

Pretty sure there's no law against it.

I don't think it's necessary for men or women to be going about their business topless

Nudity in public is legal unless "outraging public decency" or "causing alarm or offence". As discussed above, we're pretty sure no police person will accept public decency is being outraged by a man with his shirt off, but that police would be far more likely to deal with a topless woman as outraging public decency. Only one person has to complain and say they're offended for it to become a potential crime.

Social media platforms ban images of female nipples on the basis of sexual content, but it's fine for men's nipples to be shown in absolutely any context on the same platforms. Most of the same social media platforms screen out or ban people for posting images of post-cancer breast surgery, breastfeeding and other medical/health related images of the female breast, again, "tagging" them as sexual content.

If the boobies were freed, would they lose their allure, or just cause more road accidents?...
