The only song that makes me cry is happy birthday each year now as I get older and on my sons birthday as he never got the chance to grow older.

There are songs that stop me in my tracks and make me melancholy:

Sacrifice Elton John

Lately Stevie Wonder

Dance with my father Luther Vandross

Evergreen Barbara Striesand

End of the road Boyz II Men

Stand up for love Destiny's Child

Impossible Shantelle

This is the song that make me cry.Nothing compares by Sinead O connor.

It's been seven hours and fifteen days

Since you took your love away

I go out every night and sleep all day

Since you took your love away

Since you been gone I can do whatever I want

I can see whomever I choose

I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant

But nothing

I said nothing can take away these blues

`Cause nothing compares

Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here

Like a bird without a song

Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling

Tell me baby where did I go wrong

I could put my arms around every boy I see

But they'd only remind me of you

I went to the doctor n'guess what he told me

Guess what he told me

He said girl u better try to have fun

No matter what you'll do

But he's a fool

`Cause nothing compares

Nothing compares to you

all the flowers that you planted, mama

In the back yard

All died when you went away

I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard

But I'm willing to give it another try

Nothing compares

Nothing compares to you

Most love songs make you feel great when your with someone why is it they make you so sad and tearful when theyve gone. I listen to em shed a few tears say fuck em and go grab another

The only song I can think of that always brings a tear to my eye NOT thinking about past love ones is....

Cherish-kool & the gang

Because the words remind me of losing my sister when she was 21

"Old Shep" had me bawling when I was a wee sprog

"Lara's Tune" from Dr Zivago was played at both my parents funerals, so that's a bit of a heart string tugger.

For Kate's Dad it was "Distant Drums", to signify he died a long way from his country of birth.

Kate's Mom had "Wish Me Luck As You Wave Me Goodbye"

This song makes me cry too But i love it .. very special to me. Every Time we Touch .

cascada

I still hear your voice, when you sleep next to me.

I still feel your touch in my dreams.

Forgive me my weakness, but I don't know why.

Without you it's hard to survive.

Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling.

And everytime we kiss I swear I can fly.

Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.

I need you by my side.

Cause everytime we touch, I feel this static.

And everytime we kiss, I reach for the sky.

Can't you hear my heart beat slow

I can't let you go.

I want you in my life.

Your arms are my castle, your heart is my sky.

They wipe away tears that I cry.

The good and the bad times, we've been through them all.

You make me rise when I fall.

Cause everytime we touch, I get this feeling.

And everytime we kiss I swear I can fly.

Can't you feel my heart beat fast, I want this to last.

I need you by my side.

This song makes me cry and very specile as my dad would Dance and sing to me .

Dance with my father .

Back when I was a child

Before life removed all the innocence

My father would lift me high

And dance with my mother and me

And then

Spin me around 'till I fell asleep

Then up the stairs he would carry me

And I knew for sure

I was loved

If I could get another chance

Another walk

Another dance with him

I'd play a song that would never ever end

How I'd love love love

To dance with my father again

When I and my mother

Would disagree

To get my way I would run

From her to him

He'd make me laugh just to comfort me

yeah yeah

Then finally make me do

Just what my mama said

Later that night when I was asleep

He left a dollar under my sheet

Never dreamed that he

Would be gone from me

If I could steal one final glance

When final step

One final dance with him

I'd play a song that would never ever end

Cause I'd love love love to

Dance with my father again

Sometimes I'd listen outside her door

And I'd hear how mama would cry for him

I'd pray for her even more than me

I'd pray for her even more than me

I know I'm praying for much to much

But could you send her

The only man she loved

I know you don't do it usually

But Dear Lord

She's dying to dance with my father again.

'Brian Eno - An Ending'

The 'LOST' soundtrack, particularly 'Moving On'.

Amazing series.

My death waits like an old roué

so confident I'll go his way

whistle to him and the passing time...

My death waits like a bible truth

at the funeral of my youth

weep loud for that -

and the passing time...

My death waits like

a witch at night

as surely as our love is bright

let's not think about the passing time

But whatever lies behind the door

there is nothing much to do...

angel or devil, I don't care

for in front of that door...

there is you.

"

This is the song that make me cry.Nothing compares by Sinead O connor.

It's been seven hours and fifteen days

Since you took your love away

I go out every night and sleep all day

Since you took your love away

I love this song to very deep

Since you been gone I can do whatever I want

I can see whomever I choose

I can eat my dinner in a fancy restaurant

But nothing

I said nothing can take away these blues

`Cause nothing compares

Nothing compares to you

It's been so lonely without you here

Like a bird without a song

Nothing can stop these lonely tears from falling

Tell me baby where did I go wrong

I could put my arms around every boy I see

But they'd only remind me of you

I went to the doctor n'guess what he told me

Guess what he told me

He said girl u better try to have fun

No matter what you'll do

But he's a fool

`Cause nothing compares

Nothing compares to you

all the flowers that you planted, mama

In the back yard

All died when you went away

I know that living with you baby was sometimes hard

But I'm willing to give it another try

Nothing compares

Nothing compares to you

"

She sang it but his purpleness Prince wrote it... The man is a genius

When I was a kid I used to cry at Rolf Harris's 2 Little Boys

Worzel Gummidge had a song out and the B Side was called 'Im only a scarecrow', very sad, made me and my brother blub

Never really had a song i cried too. Not really a crier, but, two little boys by Rolf Harris, always seems to hit something with me. Just a song about a young lad being so generous and loving!

The first time ever I saw your face, think it was by Gladys knight? Played at a Childs funeral i attended, i have never cried so much, i have Goosebumps just writing this.

Also, two little boys, there is a green hill far away and another song from childhood my mom used to sing but have no idea what its called:

"I am a little beggar boy, my mommy she is dead.

My daddy is a d*unken man, he kicks me up to bed.

I sat upon the windowsill to hear the organs play, god bless my poor old mommy whose dead and far away"

i think my mom definitely had a dark side!
