Is it just me or are tattoos an absolute turn on ??????? is there a thread dedicated to showing off our tattoos or can we make this one it?

Tribal is a big turn off for me

Skilled artistic talent in tattoos is a turn on.

I'm half covered in white ink filigree. I think it looks great but it's probably not for everyone.

I’ve a patchwork arm with around 30 individual tattoos, all of which mean something to me. A hobby, interest, a quote, a shared tat with a loved one, my kids name etc

What people think? I couldn’t really care less. Tats are personal.

Crap tribal is, well....crap.

But then I remember the likes of Dave Grohl, Antony Keidis, Dwayne Johnson, Dave Bautista and plenty of other cool celebs have them....and it's all good.

We'll never show our ink on here. Too easily identifiable.

Oh you reminded me I need to be researching one for someone. Not in a sexual context though.

I think that's more appealling to me the significance of it. Like when it's a reflection of something meaningful to them. But the depth can be sexy too.

We dont have any of our own. But have seem some amazing art on otbers.

But J's never been interested in any body modifications for himself, be it tattoos, piercings or other. He is happy with the skin he's in. I'm too indecisive, unsure and scared I'd hate it years later. But have been toying with a nipple piercing. Just need to pluck up the courage to go do it lol.

I got my first in 1986 when it was not at all fashionable or accepted everywhere.I would be refused to be served in pubs,asked to roll my sleeves down in restaurants,followed around shops by security or staff,stopped by Police,pulled to one side at passport control or customs etc,be asked what I was in prison for or how long I had been in the Navy/Hells Angels.Nearly every day someone told me "they are for life".Well I fucking hope so because a lifetime guarantee is what I paid for.The moment they became popular and "mainstream" I stopped getting ink.Most of the people I've spoken to with ink in let's say,the last 15,have no reason for their ink other than fashion,their mates had one etc,that's sad.In ancient cultures they were a right of passage to manhood or warriorship,a mark of battle participation,sign of a shaman,in later times a slightly different right of passage,with a story to tell,then imagery personal and with meaning to the wearer,"a diary of my life" as one put it.Now it's largely meaningless fashion,be part of the crowd,just a permanent sticker of no significance.I'm not having a pop at anyone,if you have a design you like and the only significance it has for you is you like the design,that's a reason in itself,I have just seen a huge change over the last 37 years and I suspect there will be proportionately more people with regrets from the modern era than pre 2000.

If I see a tattoo in a profile picture then half the time

I’m looking at their profile to see more artwork, I’ve got three up to now but if I could get both arms and the rest of my back done I’d be happy

Nope, but also yes. A certain LOOK can be hot. But a tattoo does not just instantly Manley ANYONE hot.

Full neck,a couple of small face ones,hands,fingers,sleeve and started on my legs
