Ok, so there are a lot of complaints about the lack of effort by singles guys when sending the first mail.

As I understand it,the expectation being at least several paragraphs providing various pieces of information, As well as some humour.

I am wondering though, how many single women "make the first move"

and out of those that do, are their messages as detailed as what they themselves expect to receive?

Blimey... I'd hate to several paragraphs in a first message, lifes too short

I've made first contact several times, and usually (rightly or wrongly) I just make chit-chatty amusing convo. If they are not amused then it's no loss cos obviously we don't have the same humour in common If their responses are short and dull - I make an excuse and bugger off

Hahaha I can honestly say, I have never, ever received a first message with that sort of content.

Most will say something like. Hi, nice pics or fancy a chat. Although to be fair I do get a few that respond to my profile requirements.

Nobody expects several paragraphs...

But to address your main point, rightly or wrongly women need to make far less effort on here if they choose to go hunting. Think how many posts you see from men saying that they get no interest at all. It stands to reason that unlike a female who will get dozens of bland messages and will respond to only those that catch their eye, just getting a message is enough to get the interest of many males on here because it is so unusual. For singles looking for singles, females hold pretty much all the power on here.

I find if I ever do get a message from a single woman it's always just "Hi, how're you?" and their messages are very very brief. When looking their profile it says how they want messages that catch their attention and what not...

I find sending messages so tricky it's a fine art

In our experience the single women make less effort than the guys with the content of the messages just today we got a message from one consisting of just full stops like this .......

While I agree with you and like to think that you and I are decent enough there are many on here who I'm sure would flaunt this rule.

I do feel sometimes I have got the brunt end of someone's stick because it had possibly been a bit of a tough hour or so on here. Which can be understandable.

I know exactly what you're saying. We can't be for everyone though like everyone isn't for us and there are an awful lot more of single men to chose from so some women (I will repeat that so I don't get jumped on) SOME women, get a little egotistical from all the attention.

However not all and over the past few days I've had some really nice chats in the forums and also by messages on here and it's been a really nice place to chat.

Sometimes I message a guy,with a one liner... It really depends... Unless I write like marquis de safe I see that most,men really appreciate a message from a single female...

I messaged a guy recently as I so admired his body and told him so as he had awesome tatts! He replied back almost immediately... Yet sometimes I have messaged a few,women and couples and got mixed replies from sorry you are not for me to unread for weeks or read and no reply...

Depends OP on the woman you are into... You can always reply back if interested or not...

And Peaches... Go for it if you haven't already!!! The internet brings out amazing online shenanigans in people! Enjoy! X
