I do have one but have learned to control it over the years and now I'm told I'm the most patient person ever.

Last time I lost it was when I disciplined a member of staff for inappropriate behaviour towards a female colleague.

The next day he was so vocal about his mistreatment and what a cunt I was that the entire warehouse could hear him.

I lost my temper and told him to do his job and shut up.

He responded by headbutting me and by the time we finished grappling he had a bloody nose.

He immediately went on sick leave claiming MH issues to avoid any further disciplinary action.

I was suspended for gross misconduct but reinstated within hours by the MD because he knew my character and it wasn't a normal reaction.

I got one of them too. I will dodge, walk away and evade to avoid losing it, because it doesn't help. I will apologise now, 15 years ago, nah.

If someone is intentionally trying to press my buttons then I'm distancing myself. It is hard sometimes when it's your kids because you know they didn't lick it off the grass and you see yourself in them.

Yes, I do.

A few years ago, I got totally out of control with it, and actually frightened myself with what nearly happened.

It turned out that I was pregnant at the time, very early stages, so I think I can blame the hormone surge!

However. That didn't excuse the loss of control, and since then, I have worked towards healthier outlets for my emotions.

I never lose my temper. I don't like being around people who can't control their temper either, I just see it as very immature, like a toddler throwing a strop.

Angry emotional men are the absolute worse.

Yes I do. I think it's the passionate, fiery Italian side (no, it's just me!). I feel things, quite intensely sometimes.

I'm a lot better at reining in my temper nowadays. I wasn't really one for that sharp burst of rage and a big argument then bam. No, I was the rather scheming sort who'd ensure that crap wouldn't happen again.

Actually it's not even reining it. It's having the desire to not use it on negative things. I'm far better at conflict management, stepping away and regaining composure when I can feel it starting to happen. I don't like hurting people, even if they've hurt me/fucked me off.

I do make alot of effort to not lose it. Walk away, distance myself mentally. My mother, whom I get my Irish heritage from, was very good at pressing my buttons. I'd hold it and hold it, but then on rare occasions I'd blow up and so would she. Not pleasant at all and something I hated. She's got Alzheimers now and in a home and I haven't lost my temper with anyone in 3 years.

Feel anger yes and express it yes. The thing most likely to incur my wrath is in protection of those I love, especially my daughters.

I had a childhood where I was the recipient of people's anger and projected frustrations. I learnt to defiantly take it and not give them the satisfaction. 'Are you done?'

I don't think of it as 'control' more awareness and acceptance so that I can channel the energy that comes with anger constructively rather than destructively.

I do. Coming from the Easter part of the Europe, you find that the families are quite temperamental and vocal in general. We don't always argue as some might think, it's just genuinely the way we speak. Saying that, I can also be calm and sweet. Depends what mood I'm in.

Loosing yer temper is just negative wasted energy that goes nowhere & drains you.

You could be using that energy more positively somewhere! Plus you allowed someone to make you angry & that's your own fault!

Its easy to adopt outside a family unit but not so in a family.

In mine if you don't stick up for yourself you get trampled on! I just stand my ground, be strong & not petty & mean. Go "yeah,yeah, whatever... Oh is that the time? Must go". Go for a nice walk somewhere! Or go & see them next time & have a smelly shit that stinks their loo out on a hot day. That's f****** teamwork!

I wouldn't say I have a temper but I've lost it a few times. Those little things on a daily basis that just grind you down, test your patience and make you feel like shit eventually just come to the surface. I can recognise it but have little control stopping the outburst when it comes.

I have one but haven't really learned how to cope with it. It just kinda stays buried until something pushes it over the edge and I lose it by getting annoyed at everything around me. I need to learn how control it better rather than just let it simmer beneath the surface but just have no idea how to do it. I've tried counting to 10, taking deep breaths etc. But proper anger management seems to be the only solution.

I think it's more learned behaviour than culture or heritage. True some identities are more known than others for it.

It's what I am, I'm way better about avoiding those situations and people. I think my siblings are probably the only people that would set me off.

Was that you effing behind me today at that big lorry not moving for about 20 minutes because we were stuck in the traffic?

I'm surprisingly quite calm when it comes to other road users but they do make my blood boil.

I get cross and bitch and moan about everything but I genuinely can't remember the last time I "lost" my temper probably 30 years ago!!

When I do it's a seismic event and register's on the Richter scale.

I do. It’s something I’ve struggled to deal with for as long as I can remember. It was really bad a while ago until I reached out for some help and discovered there was a reason why I lost my temper so quickly. I’ve sort of learnt how to direct it better than what I used to but I still have really bad days. I wish i wasn’t this way sometimes.

I am a typical Scottish redhead. Even the devil would run and hide if I lost it.

Last time I did, I was 15 and put a girl in hospital for 3 weeks. Because of that incident I tend to walk away from situations where my temper could surface again as it really isn't a pretty sight x

Im very easy going and hate conflict, it tends to just make me cry. Its like some kind of Pavlovian response i guess. I cant think of a time i ever properly lost my temper. Im more likely to get mardy, and was quite a stroppy teenager, but grew out of that. My brother has a short fuse and i always get really uncomfortable when he looses it. X

I do. Road rage temper for example. Like an idiot in the van who kept moving his car towards my kids this morning instead of fully stopping when we were crossing. He got good talking to. Or dumb teens who almost caused accident with their road behaviour. Nobody dares to tell them off!

That's my temper. Used for challenging stupidity.
