Manchester (he/him)

I’m just sitting on my doorstep with a coffee in the bright morning sunshine, watching the tree pollen float in the gentle breeze. Quietly enjoying my small corner of Manchester.

I’ve just been struck by the calm that has engulfed me and the simple pleasure that I can enjoy in the midst of this chaotic life. For that I’m very very thankful.

What are you thankful for, folks?

I’m thankful for this post. I was really feeling frenetic but reading your post has calmed and centred me massively. Thank you.

So many things, I had that little epiphany this morning (it happens a couple of times a week).

I'm thankful for my fiancé. I didn't think I was worthy of love, still have days when I question it but he reminds me effortlessly how much I am.

I'm thankful for my friends - the ones who make me laugh by sending me videos of them singing my favourite songs with a genre switch. The ones who ask about me, my stuff and genuinely mean it. The ones who share me with their life, who give me that shoulder to cry on when I need it, fix my tiara without a second thought and think threesomes are a good distraction (they will be). The ones who say "tequila", the ones who love me and show me that freely. The ones who tell me when I'm being a dick and when actually, it's not me. The ones who stay up late delighting me with voice notes and soft hopes of the future.

I'm also really thankful for being here. Appreciating the sunshine, my home. My body.

I'm really rather thankful this morning - life is wonderful.

That’s nice , hold onto it , it’s usually fleeting

I’m thankful that if my life all went to shit, there’s a few people in this world would go to extremes to help me out. I think so anyway, untested theory

Morning Tea.

Thank you for your thoughtful post.

Hope you have a peaceful day.

I woke up to some sad news today so as always I'm thankful for my children and my husband. They always know how to make me see the brighter side of life.

Worthing

Same thing op. Living by the coast I can take short walks down there a few times a week. Coffee outside at home...just me and nature.

A post on another thread has reminded me. I'm thankful I get to make a difference for an awful lot of people.

North East Scotland, mostly

I watched a bee buzzing around some beautiful lupins this morning. It was a perfect peaceful moment.

Sagittarius A

A happy home. The sound of my daughter's joy and giggles that was absent for so long.

The excitement in their eyes about their future and the spontaneous hugs they give me that say I love you.

The friends I have who love me for who I am and know it is the same way for me. Who understand that my dark humour is a survival mechanism. Run with it till we laugh or cry or both.

To be able to sit under a tree, by the sea or even a doorstep and appreciate nature's splendour.

Also boursin, baguette and Merlot. I'm about to appreciate that sat out on the back porch. After I've kicked some arse in my daughter's EHCP meeting.

She had a special treat she likes and we don't get often. Plenty of cuddles and kisses. And currently next to me eyeing some leftover chicken. We are sharing.

I kept her alive for 15 years.. that counts for something.

Ps

She is a weirdo who ignored most cat toys throughout her life. But get her a cotton bud or two.. pencil or scrunched up paper and she goes mad. Also chases small balls and reacts to whistling. Maybe she wanted to be a dog.

Life in general, it's had plenty of ups and downs so far and hopefully there's plenty more of the ups to come, I'll still have to deal with any more downs, but I'll still be thankful I'm around to be able to do so!

Newcastle

Grateful to wake up to beautiful sunshine after a good nights sleep and feel the fresh air on my face when I threw the windows open.

Grateful I have a job that allows me to work from home so I don’t have an extra two hours added to my day with a hot, uncomfortable commute.

Grateful that I’ve got a holiday to look for to with my family in a few weeks to make amazing memories

Next Door

I'm grateful for learning the bloody hard lessons, I've learnt and it's made me into the person I am today.

Some don't like me, oh well. Some love me, and thank you.

Have a huge heart, but still lack the confidence to be able open up.

I'm also blessed and thank every day that my kids are safe and so is my mum.
