Any other weather geeks on here?

Looking good for some Flash Bangs tonight. Cells popping up all over!

I might have to go for a drive tonight to catch some!

Have to see how my dog reacts - then again the fireworks in Nov and New Year had no effect, so maybe he will be ok (but he hates water - so that might be a problem)

Hopefully some will pop up over Essex tonight, but did see the towers building earlier today and they were rising rapidly. So lots of energy in the upper atmosphere it seems.

My friend in Georgia was hit by a supercell last night, thankfully she’s ok but the house is lightning damaged.

Planes were being held at Heathrow for a while a little earlier. The storm has not come to North London yet - though it clouded over, has got breezy and I have taken the laundry in!

I love bad weather. Was in the navy and offshore industries for years, used to love sitting out on deck watching huge storms pass through. The storms we see in the UK are not a patch on what happens on open water or abroad.

Think there's going to be a storm quite soon. dark clouds are overhead, the wind has increased and looking at the storm map, they are about 50 miles away

Where I grew up, massive scary thunderstorms were the norm in summer. What you get here are tame. I'm over them.
