Ok so today I turn 52 and will avoid anyone and everything except the pub, however I am now drifting further away from fifty and now even more out of reach to all those fine ladies with age limits l, should I a) man up and continue whatever I do at the pub and realise those days are gone or b) create fake profile set my age to 49.9 and have one last hurrah ……

Ps the answer is a) definitely a) this beer gardens lovely ……

We have set our age limits, but it doesn't necessarily mean that we would automatically rule out someone outside those parameters. We use our settings as a guide, rather than concrete rules.

I've just turned 50 & obviously that will rule me out of alot of men's preferences but as this is Fab, there are enough indiscriminate men on here who happily set their age limit to 99! We all know it's easy being a woman on here, even an extremely ordinary one like myself & I wouldn't blame you for resetting your profile. You'd probably get away with it for a short time if you were using up to date photos, but I personally would be pissed if a guy I met was obviously older than he claimed to be! As I always have a social first, that would definitely be where the interaction ended!

Exactly and if we play by fab rules which is be honest and don’t be an ass hat trick hem no harm done, I’m sure I’ve ‘missed out’ on potential meets because of my age but they have their preferences, the reality is I’m old, I look old, where is my smoking jacket …..

Happy Birthday. The ranges in profiles on here can be even more strange, like specifying 29 to 31 or 52 to 56. Really? What would make it necessary to be so specific is beyond comprehension but each to their own.
