Yep same! Well it's a bit uneven.:D My relatives would always bang on about how beautiful my (relative) paleness was but I'm really enjoying the hue my skin has taken on. The freckles covering my face less so.

Growing up I hated the sun because I used to get teased in my family for being (blick) from my cousins.

I’m not even dark skinned but the colourism was real. And now I love getting dark. And you know what that is? (Hope you know this reference)

Growing up I hated the sun because I used to get teased in my family for being (blick) from my cousins.

I’m not even dark skinned but the colourism was real. And now I love getting dark. And you know what that is? (Hope you know this reference)

Colourism is so real. And so fucking weird to navigate. My nonno would always tell me I'm too pale and to get some sun. My auntie would tell me I shouldn't ruin such a "prized feature". I'm not going to even go into that crap but yeah. Let's enjoy that beautiful sunshine! And our perfect skin.

I grew up in South Africa so I tend to tan rather than burn. But I was wearing a cap, the solar panel gets damaged these days in the sun.

I think I'm incapable of producing melanin

Didn't go out in the sun yesterday really, so actually didn't burn anything!!! Staying out of it because I burn through factor 50 in about 20mins
