It won't be for everyone, it will be for some. I think it depends on the dynamic you're looking for - a one night stand and it would be odd if you disclosed everything about yourself. Same with a fuck buddy.

But it's something that would probably naturally pop up if you were good friends with someone so it might be weird if you didn't?

I don't think you need to tell someone your life story when you first meet them.
