In contrast with the recommendations so far, I'd suggest you manage your expectations to a certain extent. Saw them at Download a few years ago and watched their set at Glastonbury on telly the other day, and while Slash and Duff have still got the energy and talent to put musicians half their age to shame, Axl has really lost his voice with age. He's still got the power in the mid range, but simply can't hit those signature highs or the growly lows any more.

That's not to say it's no good at all - as you can see from the other replies it's still a rollicking rock & roll show. But bear in mind you're not going to get those dramatic screeching highs on You Could Be Mine and Sweet Child of Mine, like you used to.

Apparently the sound at Glasto was fine, the BBC feed was rubbish. That’s why Axl sounded off.

I heard the band released that that statement too, weird how the BBC feed was only bad when he was singing the notes he can't sing and was absolutely spot on for all the notes he can sing, though.

Mate that was there said the sound levels were fine. Axl made a comment he couldn’t hear the band through his ear piece.

Well yeah, of course it was fine, I could hear him failing to hit the notes. That's rather the point.
