Are you known in your local pub?

Sitting in my local spoons and probably the pub I visit most often. Usually by myself to sit and read over a cuppa or have food. And the usual venue for meeting friends for lunch.

There are posters up about a fund raiser for a recently deceased regular and it reminded me. Mainly because I keep to myself but in all the years I have been coming here I think there are only 2 or 3 others I have spoken to more than once. Even most of the staff would not know my name.

Maybe it's not the definition of a local, just consider it mine as its the one am in most.

Do you have a local and are you known there?

Yes have a local where most people know me. But I work away from home a lot and normally after a night or two being in a new pub I'll get to meet people

I’m very well known in our village pub, which is a whole 4 minute walk from my front door. I’m also a regular at our town’s rugby club, so I’m never on my own for long in either bar

How are we defining "local"?

Closest pub to you? Pub you most often frequent?

I was well known in my old local, been drinking there for over 30 years. But while my new 'local' know what I drink, they don't really know me.

Very well known. Don't know whether that's good or bad.

When I walk in they always have a pint pulled for me which is unfortunate if I fancy something else

No. Never been a pub person and since I don't drink alcohol no need to go near one.

We are known but mainly because all bar staff are friends or schoolmates of hers.
