To be fair Liverpool is superb on a Saturday afternoon

Especially in this weather, vibrant friendly and full on party/festival atmosphere as people of all ages mix shop drink etc

Duke street and bold street are the hip places to be, the waterfront and dock is nice for a walk sightseeing and eating

Great restaurants on duke st too, castle street and city centre will be buzzing.

And of course Matthew street, liverpools answer to temple bar

Go, enjoy,,,,

I'm so out of touch with my home town, wouldn't know where to recommend, but if you go past the Liver Building, keep an eye on the Liver Birds. Apparently they flap their wings each time a v1rgin walks past

Cheshire

Stay away from Primark, even near the entrance you could be dragged in.

Sefton Park and just off it is Lark Lane, some good pubs and people watching. Stay away from Albert Dock, stupidly expensive.

Bold street also decent bars and restaurants and my favourite place FACT cinema.

Yannis chip shop is a must.

Also homebaked Anfield , best pies and you are helping the local area.

We get a few frozen ones to take home.
