Do you get to know someone before you see their face or after?

Do you tell them you're attached after a social has been agreed or before?

Do you exchange numbers as soon as you've seen their face or wait for them to ask?

Woud you suggest your place or theirs or somehwere else?

There seems to be some very mixed views on the way things should be done on fab. What's your view and why? Pick any aspect or all of them. I want to know.

I think it's weird getting to know someone without a face to put to the name. You wouldn't do it in real life so why would you do it here?

I like to swap face pics early on into the conversation because what’s the point in wasting time getting to know each other only to find out there’s no attraction there.

I think there are a lot of variables and it just depends on the person and circumstances. I do like to see a face but then personality means more to me.

Phone numbers aren't hugely necessary with the wonders of other apps. Mine or there's depends on how I feel with them after a social and what home circumstances are - when my son was young I wouldn't have people over even if he wasn't there

Gotta see their face before we get chatting. No point in chatting if I don’t fancy them. Only exception is if I’m chatting to people on the forums and know I won’t meet them

It’s on my profile that I’m married

Not numbers, telegram. I wait a while though

Used to be my place, now I have no idea. Haven’t figured that one out

It's not a linear thing. I can't speak for anyone else. If the initial conversation is monosyllabic or boring then photos won't be exchanged. Phone numbers will only happen if there's gonna be a meet that isn't a social. I don't know how others do it.

Depends.

If its someone from the forums and its just chat, with the odds on ever meeting to do the sex pretty slim? There are plenty I've never seen rhein faces.

If we're engaging with people we'd potentially be getting naked with then exchanging face pics is done early doors to save both sides wasting time if there's no attraction.

But definitely need to see a face pic early in to see if we like each other, telegram if things are progressing. And phone numbers to arrange meets close to time.

But happy to follow how they feel to some point x

I've often met guys without seeing a face pic or sending one. Done a few blindfold meets to. Never been disappointed or had any problems.

If there is an etiquette I don't know it being relatively new here. We haven't had a sex meet through Fab, just clubs, so bear that in mind for our answers. We mainly use here for the forums, club events and socials although other plans are potentially there when life isn't ridiculously busy.

Most people we've either seen their faces on their profile or got to see their faces after chatting for a while.

We have telegram now for chatting. I was really reluctant to move offsite but it turns out it's great. We downloaded it for the Manchester Social group chat. (still missing that chat

) I like that it's an easier way to chat than fab messages.

We would suggest a club or hotel. Not keen on going to someone else's house or having them at ours.

It is weird getting to know people without their faces. It's probably why I like the forums as you get more of a feel for people. It's easier for singles to show faces as it's more like a sexy dating site. There's still a stigma to non-monogamy that makes it harder to show your face. Especially in certain lines of work.

I would much rather see a face pic of someone I'm chatting to than any other pics. I won't enter in to any conversation past the hi, how are you stage without seeing a face, attraction is important to me. I used to only ever accommodate but recently I've started travelling to others as its sometimes a lot easier. I have dogs and one is over protective.

Your relationship status should be in your bio (if you’re meeting) is my probably unpopular opinion. Face pics within first few messages always otherwise you just end up risking hurting someone more. Only exchange numbers or other details when they (Women) suggest it because they feel ready to or on the day of the first social. Always have a social on neutral ground and after that discuss whether they’re comfortable in your space or would prefer theirs or another neutral place.

These are my rules that I go by anyway.

I've never planned on having sex with everyone I've chatted to on here or even being attracted or attractive to them so facepics are irrelevant.

I don't have any on here and only exchange them once we've already agreed to meet for a social.

It has never failed and I've never had a no show so that's my etiquette in that regard.

How I get to know people is really down to them and what they feel comfortable telling me before,during and after any social meet.

I don't send messages so when people decide to get in touch with me it's usually because my profile or something I've said here resonates with them and they have some idea of what I'm about.

I'm very fussy about who I get naked with so a facepic tells me very little.

Attitude and demeanor says so much more.

I never exchange phone numbers or any other contact details. Until I have meet them a few times.

As for the rest it on a person to person bases, my face is on my profile and most guys send face pics.

I try to make it very clear on my profile, how I like to do things.

Face pic first, that's where the attraction lies for me.

Only chat on here until we've met.

Always a social first.

Then it depends who can accommodate.

I think we're confusing etiquette with protocol. Etiquette should go without saying - in real life or Fab.

Protocol, or the 'correct' procedure in how we engage with people on here varies considerably, and is dependent on how things flow between two people during interactions.

Most, if not all, of my connections have been instigated by the other person sending the first message. I'm a slow burn, moving slowly but assuredly, during extensive chat. I never ask for a face picture; I just wait until she's ready. I never offer my photo until I'm asked - and if there is sufficient trust between us. I also won't share a photo with someone who has a bleak and spartan profile. I'm happy to chat exclusively on Fab, and will only migrate to Telegram or WhatsApp until invited to do so by the other person AND if there is sufficient maturity in the acquaintanceship. In other words if she sends me her number quite soon after introduction I immediately became cautious, holding onto the number for a few days, until I am ready to move over to another platform.

Either way I won't meet until we have exchanged photos. It's always a social first, from elaborate light-luncheons, a quick walk around a gallery or a cursory coffee and cake in some light and airy coffee shop.

We all have our approaches and modus operandi. This one works for me (most of the time!).

I refuse to meet at their abode. It's always a hotel. I've never slept with someone who didn't know whether I was/am single, unattached, seperated, married or divorced...that information is shared quite early on because I have no time or wherewithal for subterfuge or drama.

Exchange numbers as soon as possible, get into a proper conversation as quick as I can to check compatibility.

I can generally tell if someone is my type personality wise very quickly from the level of conversation.

This is also assuming that face pics are doing what they should and they're generally on my vibe. From that, drinks, if it's there I can generally tell within 3 seconds, but I play it cool and act like its 3 minutes.

However, I talk a lot to people. If it feels like work at any point whatsoever... they're gone.

Other than that, yeah, it's pretty easy. This isn't hard work with the right people. Just gotta find them.

I met my partner on here. She hadn't seen my face but we got to know each other, she had no b idea what I liked like until we met in person. I suspect like most stuff on here, everyone is different and it's impossible to make assumptions about what people do and don't like because what I feel on the subject has no bearing on what they feel.
