Anyone used ChatGPT ....to-

Has anyone had a go at using chatGPT to communicate with someone?

I've playing around with it, having a conversation via email with one of my workers in Rome, she's a bit of a giggle to say the least, so I decided to input her email responses into chatgpt and get it to generate my replies to her with some cheeky undertone type flirting.

Have to say, it is piss funny what it can do.

I also made it translate some of my messages into a random different language back to her just to confuse her. Korean, Japanese amongst others

I'll be seeing her on Tuesday for a couple of days so I might escalate this between now and then.

Yes we have got down to it a few times so it's no big deal

Just tried it. It didn't seem to approve:

"While it's interesting to hear about your experiences using ChatGPT to communicate with someone, it's important to remember to use AI responsibly and ethically. Generating replies with cheeky undertones or using random translations to confuse someone may not always be appropriate or well-received. It's crucial to consider the consent and comfort of the other person involved in the conversation.

Moreover, it's essential to be mindful of privacy and confidentiality when using AI models to process personal messages. Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to use and share the content of the email conversations.

If you're looking for ways to have fun and engage with others using AI, there are many creative and positive applications available. Just remember to prioritize respect, consent, and the well-being of everyone involved."

I asked it for a witty line to send to a woman. It gave me a lengthy lecture on that too but it also suggested:

"Is your name Google? Because you've got everything I've been searching for."

Smooth.

This is an aspect of AI I'm not keen on. It's all a bit Cyrano de Bergerac

I'm waiting for the posts saying

'when they discovered I'd used chatGPT to generate my messages they deleted and blocked. Why are they so shallow/ignorant/picky?'

I would never use it, if i needed AI to create replys to messages I probably have nothing in common with the person anyway or i woupd be able to make my own replys

We seem to be moving towards a world where we have to hide behind filters and ai manufactured communication.

Nobody will be able to meet in person because they won't recognise each other or be able to hold a conversation

I've used AI to help me brainstorm.

I wouldn't consider what's described in the OP as ethical.

All over

Sadly it seems that AI is getting already a bad name because of inappropriate use. The foremost purpose of AI is looking into solving existing challenges particularly in the field of science, health, business and education and also thought that could assist people with certain isabilities if appropriate. It was not really meant to be used for 'artificial' social media communication replacing human interaction, albeit online. As many said, how could anyone think that's appropriate as a means of communicating between one another is beyond me

My current profile is written by chat gpt for a giggle, I gave it my key words and important things and off it went.

Not sure it would sound like me using it for messages and I have a distinct messaging voice.

That's brilliant, made me giggle and in the spirit of the thread I that intended too

ChatGPT generates plausible nonsense. For example, a student trying to cheat in coursework - it will generate what looks like a great bibliography, but the citations are made up. They don't exist. We tried it by asking for information about an academic that Mr KC knows a lot about. ChatGPT told us this academic studied his BSc at Uni of Bath. Plausible, unless you know that he actually studied at Birmingham. It just made up something plausible.

Plausible is all you need somewhere like fab though. Then you meet and the guy who you thought wrote the chatty messages and is fifty can hardly string two words together and looks ten years older than his filtered photo.
