Why is it that all the posts regarding slim women are "slim or curves" "what do you prefer curvy or skinny"

It drives me crazy, like slim woman have no curves, we're just flat are we.....no!

Slim women have curves too!

Slim women have mum bods too!

Slim women are just as beautiful as all the other sized women!

I don't like the posts that pit us against one another. All body shapes have their fans and their haters and that's OK! You like what you like and we are what we are. A lot of the words used like curvy are very ill defined so take them to mean whatever suits you.

To me curves just means that! The hips, boobs, shoulders, ass cheeks, calves etc. doesn’t matter what size you are, you can have curves.

It’s always baffled me when a woman’s size is described as curvy!

I agree! I get annoyed anytime I see one of these types of threads, as there is normally a bit of skinny bashing that goes along with them.. Everyone is attracted to different types of bodies, but there is no need to put anyone else down.

Personally I only read a bio if I like the photos. I only move things forward if I like the person, as far as that's possible from the limited impression you can form over a few messages and a coffee

I love seeing pictures of women with stretch marks and wobbly skin. If more of us represent the different shapes and sizes those kind of threads would probably be extinct.

Personally I only read a bio if I like the photos. I only move things forward if I like the person, as far as that's possible from the limited impression you can form over a few messages and a coffee

Some on here choose not to post pictures but have a good bio, so there could be a few you have missed out on.

Or nights and events at clubs for slim women like the BBW ones?

And why is it that when a slim woman hits hot pics she is automatically branded an attention seeker and up herself but you never ever see that said about the BBW's in hot pics?

I like the fact different women use 'fabulous' for different reasons. I like fabulous when they are confident in themselves, whether it is a slim body that is fabulous, or a fabulous plus sized body.

I think what they mean is slender or curvy.

Slim and curvy can go together.

I imagine they're thinking slender as a more athletic shape, and curvy to be more shapely (for want of a better word).

Gets my heckles up, last time I looked I had a curve between my waist and hip ... small it may be but nevertheless its there.

Mislabelling doesn't piss me off as much as someone saying slim women are less womanly... that really infuriates me.

I used to be a lot thinner than I am now and some of the comments I used to get daily about my body was infuriating. Not just on here but out and about as well, things like “you need to eat more” and “ look how skinny you are, you need to put on some weight” etc. I don’t know how people are aloud to say these things and no one bats an eyelid, its just the same as telling someone who’s bigger to loose weight, it’s horrible.

Pretty much the only thing that it is socially acceptable to still comment negatively on about a person is their weight/size. And that goes for people who are anything except the media idea of perfect or thereabouts.

I hate the "this person is better than that one" threads, whether they're "big better than small" or vice versa, or any other. But it is natural for people to create some kind of competition and place their ideals on a higher level than those who aren't, usually to ingratiate themselves with the people they want to impress. Which sucks, quite frankly, and shouldn't be the case.

All body shapes and sizes are beautiful in their way to those they are beautiful to. And just because someone doesn't find one demographic attractive, they shouldn't put them down. Sadly I don't think the world will change quickly though.

Maybe because it's more linked to whether a person looks in good shape/health?

I say so only because it's definitely something I comment on to my children (usually to suggest they should eat more!) and I think it's normal to consider whether you think people are looking well.

Obviously that's not why people would be commenting on body shapes here but I mean in regard to why it's considered acceptable to do so when maybe not so much on other aspects of appearance.

I used to get this loads too, the whole go eat a burger and all that shit it's infuriating and given the other way telling someone larger to stop eating wouldn't be tolerated, somehow it's ok to skinny shame especially on here.

I get messages often telling me I'm too skinny and it would be like fucking a bag of bones... not sure what makes them think they'd get a look in anyway lol...

But I also get messages complimenting on my body shape... each to their own but I hate all terms like skinny and fat and I hate being pitted against other women because of my shape and size...

We can all have preferences but we don't have to slate the opposite in order to compliment the other xx

Curvy is somewhat misused on here. But tends to attract compliments... "i love a real woman... Mum bod... Wobbly bits... ... A big arse....huge tits.. Etc. Slim tends to draw abusive comments..." bag of bones... Etc.

People like what they like. No need to stand on some people just to compliment others.

That's one of the problems with sites like this, it kind brings out people's shallowness. Everyone has their preferences on the ideal body type/figure and most will be looking for only those types and are quick to voice their opinions on what they like or dislike.

For me, in the real world meeting new people and hooking up is less about my ideals and more about that spark you feel from the initial eye contact. You get that spark, chat and flirt and if the energy is good between us then that brings the attraction without really giving a 2nd thought on if they fit my ideals.

Here it's the other way around, you look for your idea of perfect from photos and a few typed words make a choice and then hope there's some spark. It makes me wonder how many people miss out on meeting people who'd have a perfect energy between them in real life all because the profile didn't fall into the right stereotype.
