Ok, it’s a long, long time since I did an R.I.P post, and that was back in the days when I had a very different username……. But, having had a day away from the news yesterday, I’ve woken up this morning to discover that Astrid Gilberto has died……. Who? I hear you ask……. She was the woman who sang about the girl from Ipanema. 16 albums to her credit over the years, the last being released in 2002. Died at 83 years of age
