Have you ever accidentally left some a veri when you meant to leave it for someone else?

Slip of the thumb?

Got similar profile names confused?

Been on the gin?

Is there actually a way to correct such a faux pas?

I hope all mine were accidental but unfortunately they all show the same theme and for that reason I don’t show them

Yes and they still have it

I did ask them to see if could remove it straight away when I realised I'd left it on wrong profile and that was years ago

You'll just have to meet them now and re-enact the veri

"You'll just have to meet them now and re-enact the veri"

Ha!

I know who it was meant for. Someone was a little distracted at work it seems.

But as it relates to a single guy if we did show it publicly we'd get accused of being a dodgy profile again for sure

No but C has had her boobs out on cam - no face pics and whilst I was there I wasn’t on screen and we’ve had 2 veri’s left from guys, saying what a good looking couple we are

Obviously titmatised

Is this like when my ex told me she accidentally slept with my best mate?

I once had a veri from a social I went to, saying what a lovely friendly person I am.

They had mistaken my profile name for someone else.

Tbh socials are possibly the worst for this. It's fine if you're meeting someone you've been chatting to for ages or a forum regular whose name you can't forget.

It's the random unexpected surprise people you meet at social and in clubs where because you're inebriated/chatting to dozens of people/stark naked at the time it can be tricky to jot down a username.

About time everyone started getting business cards printed with a username on the back and their profile pic on the front.......

We met a couple at a club who had fab business cards for exactly this reason! Bloody genius.

I'm terrible at remembering names, so this would be ideal

But what should they have written then - hopefully from your side there had been some biting, withering sarcasm and a bit of gratuitous violence thrown in!

I have someone on my Facebook friends like this. I added her by mistake as we have a mutual friend in common. She accepted. I was too awkward to say owt. She likes all my posts and it’s now been a few years so we’re stuck with each other

All is well in the world. The intended recipient appears to have got his now.

It's bumped our summary count up by 1 but that doesn't actually make much of a difference.

*and #noragerts would make a great tattoo.

Wahey we do the films and stuff

As for one not affecting your summary much, stop humble bragging.

That's my job.

No. Just bragging.

Apologies.

you can block the person you sent it by accident while it will not remove the veri summary it will remove the text and who sent it from both yours and their profile.

That is if you don't want them displaying that info.

I never have done but a few years ago on a different profile I was part of a fab walking group.

The morning after our first gathering I received a verification from a man I had never heard of and who was definitely not part of the group.

I checked around and a handful of others had also had one from him and none of them had any idea who he was either.

The assumption was that he was someone using a different account to the one he had joined the group with.

That was bad enough but in the verification he left for me he said I was a very sexy woman and he looked forward to meeting me on future walks and getting to know me better

I got an accidental one that I was in a club and joined in the fun ,a club I’d never been to - and I never play in clubs!

I don’t know if it was accidental or just someone put them up to it for a laugh, if so if was quite funny actually
