Is the question we'd like to ask.

If someone blocked you, should you return the favour or just carry on? Also if their profile is set to "this profile is not available"

I just carry on, can’t be arsed with the extra button presses involved in blocking.

I’m either not their type, or I’ve said something they disagree with. Shit happens. I hold no grudge over another’s choices.

If someone blocks you, you can’t return the favour because you can’t access their profile any more. Just look on it as their loss lol

The only reason to ever counter block would be if you're concerned they'll unblock you to have a browse before reblocking.

Otherwise who cares? We have a huge block list as to us it's as much a permanent filter as it is a means to prevent people we find offensive from viewing us. For the majority it's just to cut down on them showing up in future searches we do. Most probably don't even know we've blocked them til they try and view us.

In an ideal world there'd be a second option of just applying a flag to profiles you know you'll never be interested in which stops them viewing you or you coming up in searches they do, almost as if you didn't exist.

It would cut down on the over analysis some do about the reasons their blocked and any angst it mat cause.

I used to block back. But I don’t know what I’ve done in the forums usually or remember what I’ve said so if they want to hate me they can do it but I’m not giving it energy

You can counter block by replacing your name with theirs (if you know it) in the URL if your profile and using the drop down menu to block

That could mean they've been temporarily suspended by admin

If we’ve been blocked by someone they obviously have their reasons. It doesn’t bother me, I just move on.

Block back because I don't need their negative and uncalled for opinions of me, especially when they haven't even met me in real life to be able to have a real judgement of me.

I block them back. Not out of spite or anything just as a "you're not interested in me? Cool, I'll return the favour."

As someone else said, sometimes they might unblock later to have a nosey. I would rather once someone blocks me we just part ways for good. There's hundreds of thousands of people on here so losing another is no big deal.

I rarely block anybody on here or Twitter or any social media.

I think a lot of reasons that people don't consider alternative viewpoints is that they instantly block any opinion that they don't agree with. They end up in their own self-affirming echo-chamber.

I have blocked on the odd occasion but it would take a lot for me as I don't have a knee-jerk reaction to hit the block button that many, it seems, have.

"if someone blocks us we return the favour as weve had before a situation where theyd block after messaging"

How can you block somebody who has blocked you?

If you try to go to their profile to block them back, there doesn't appear to be a way to block them as their profile will be gone.

Am I missing something or how is it done?

The menu grid when your trying to look at their profile whether you can or not view them drops down a list and you block them from that

A couple blocked us a few profiles ago and unknown to them we are now friends... I think it's a bit childish to block because someone blocked you attitude.

one way if on on pc version open your blocklist type username in and hit block.make sure its copied exact as i seem to remember its case sensitive.

i normally only block back if they blocked me then keep unblocking me to send messages before blocking again

I don't care enough to block someone back if they've blocked me, especially if I have no idea who they are in the first place.
