I've tried various countries Cheese over the years but I genuinely don't believe a decent mature Cheddar can be beaten

Agree with Mrs nice Wensleydale or a double Gloucester for everyday.

All depends how it's being eaten. Big into creamy Gouda slices, melted on burgers at the moment.

Straight chunks, can't beat a good cheddar or smoked cheese. Edam is lovely bite. Halloumi fries. A nice blue cheese as a final topping on a nice pizza. And so much more, is there a bad cheese?

I adore cheese!

I don't have a favourite, because there are too many!

Not a fan of smoked cheeses.

What else do you put on your cheese board?

Grapes? Pears? Figs? Celery?

Lincolnshire poacher is an excellent hard cheese I use instead of parmesan. You can't go wrong with a mature cheddar for your farmhouse lunch. I'm also a big fan of Brie, but not the Larson variety as it has all the charisma of a pickled walnut.

Truffle honey works really beautifully with some cheese as well xx

Yes. Truffle honey on pecorino (of all different ages, from soft breakfast cheeses through to aged parmesan like ones) is glorious.

Well not easy to pick one or two. Generally live hard cheeses like comte, gruyere, kefalotyri, manchego etc. But also love a good brie, gongonzola, blue cheese and of course feta

I bought two very small (tiny in fact) blocks of cheese from a farm shop today = £10 and they was both rock hard and dry. When I looked on the sell by date they have 1 week left.

Disappointment at the highest level.

Raging I am

There's a cheese they do in the states called Canadian dry extra mature. Love that.

I think I have incredibly cheap taste when it comes to certain foods. Yes I appreciate the expensive, vintage cheeses but just love mild cheddar on a buttered water biscuit. Sometimes with mustard or peanut butter

Are we agreed that cheese is just great on a whole and we all have our own little kinks and preferences and, as usual, there is no kink shaming.

Long live cheese generally as a concept!!!

Extra mature coloured cheddar, not sure it’s any different taste wise to none coloured but it being orange rather than yellow seems to trick you into thinking so
