Ok this is a long one so please bear with me at least for a while…

Have you heard about the law of attraction?

How the law of attraction works can differ depending on who you talk to, but it has several foundational behaviors. The first is a mindset, and the second is action. Some theories claim that you create a pull between you and what you desire in life when you focus intently.

I know many people that swear by this and it has changed their lives for the better.

Bringing it back to fab and an earlier thread, do you believe that your profile, bio and photos attract a certain behaviour from other people whether that is in a positive or negative way?

Would removing genital photos from your profile change your level of interaction?

I could ask a ton more questions on this but I want to throw this out to you lovely people for your thoughts

I think having a clear intention helps everything. So instead of throwing out a wide and generic net, If you become focused and specific you will then attract those people. If any hole is a goal then best of luck.

It's a very valid question, in general yes. We are fun and polite and attract fun and polite people. We look for couples and most of the messages we receive are from them. We have enough in our pictures so people can gauge attractiveness and we are normally approached by those who imitate our age and physical appearance.

My friend swears by this and manifests things all the time.

I think there's something in it. If you're always looking at the negatives, that does tend to be what you attract. Likewise if you focus on the good things then life does seem to feel better.

I've not gone as far as a vision board yet but I've seen them work for others.

As for how it works on fab, well clearly my profile has worked for me if this weekend was anything to go by!

I'm sure it does alright. My profile is me being me, in picture & word format. Don't like it/me, move on, life's to short. If I do get a reply/interaction, I'll decide on how or if I react to it/them.

The concept of law of attraction doesn’t apply to things like fab, where it’s just simple physical attraction and mainly a bit of personality. That’s just regular “attraction”.

The law of attraction thing is more about achieving and attaining things in life through a long slow process. I definitely believe in that btw. All my friends do. It’s what brought us together in the pretty unique and privileged situations that we’re in.

Over the years, I've had several profiles on here, and rewritten those profiles several times. Different wording, tone etc. definitely elicited different tones of correspondence on the whole (unfortunately any woman on here will always get a certain amount of dick pics and FAF messages).

Yes, I think knowing who you want to attract is very important rather than waiting to see who comes along

I'm attracted to open and honest people and those on similar paths to my own but within that there are subdivisions.

Those who don't give a fuck what they say or care about the consequences of their words and actions could legitimately call themselves open and honest and I'm not attracted to people like that at all.

I will therefore consciously avoid certain people and try not to attract their attention.

I've found over the years that analysing every thought or action just leads to deeper rabbit holes so in regard to fab I paddle my own canoe which involves putting whatever I like on my own profile because that's what I'm comfortable with and never blowing smoke up anyone's arse because that's not who I am.

If any of that puts people off my profile or my forum engagement annoys some people that's just how the cookie crumbles.

I've never been nasty or rude to anyone on here because again that's not in my nature but yet some people need to find negativity or nastiness in what others say.

I will never change my approach or my profile based on someone else's advice or comment in the hope of attracting them or gaining brownie points just as I would never suggest that someone else should change theirs.

In spite of all that, I've never had any problem attracting attention on fab and as as result I've never given the whole process much thought.

This is true. In a recent thread about how internet hook-up sites like Fab do/n't work... Discuss... I said your profile is just the shop window.

But then the layers of hard work kick in. So when you correspond, you get nuances about people. That's when I do the filtering.

My profile is deliberately fluffy and brazen but that is because I'm looking for sexy, fun people. When we meet and I'm impressed by them, I cultivate a friendship. Then it's nice to have lots of people in my lil black book to call upon...

Yes. I'm only going to answer the part about my profile but I've never struggled to find what I want at that moment in time on Fab.

I've never received shitty messages - well only a couple off the back of forum threads.

It's rare I receive a "this is what I'm going to do to you" message - a handful a year, max. It's got to the point where I cheer inwardly if I do, 'cause it's a reminder I can be seen as a hole.

My profile and my online presence works well in attracting what I want - when I was in a slutty phase and had a photo of my quim up, I attracted the sort of people I wanted to. Now? Well you get the idea.

It’s not something I believe in either.

That you can somehow trick your own will , by choosing to think positive and specific thoughts when you feel otherwise , and your will won’t know, and that will manifest what you want in life? You would need to be extremely weak willed for that to work

I think we all get what you really want. Saying you want something , even writing it down makes no difference. The best prediction of your future is your daily actions.

In a way, and sometimes it make you realise that what you desire isnt actually what you need so be careful

In terms of profile on here I have worked out how to get what I desire. There is quite a difference to the messages I get when I actually write something that is a bit heartfelt and me, compared to say now when its just blank and generic. Picture tone make a lot of difference too. So in that sense yes, you attract what you put out. In life, Im not so sure. Im still working on it.

On here no it’s almost all blokes and tvs.

In real life no as well the very rare few I do attract seem to be the complete opposite lifestyle wise than me main one being keeping in shape always seems to be the ones who don’t give a flying fuck about staying in shape and seem somewhat proud of never doing any form of exercise

I find that in my new placement of work.

From day one, three people have taken it upon themselves not to welcome me or like me! I can tell by ttheir very eye's & body language. Yet they dont knw anything about me!

Same as here. One is judged by pictures or what is assumed of you from their very own limited vision of you and dislike based upon what information gathered.

OMG this wins forum question of the decade! I absolutely love it!

I do believe there is real substance behind it too. My profile is boring, my photos are plain and unimaginative and not overly sexual. If I ignore the guys that would shag a barbers floor, I do only get messages and winks from similar styled profiles. Photos are never up close of their giblets, I very very rarely get contacted by smokers and frequent doggers. Not that that’s wrong, just not what I’m into.

I think using the forums helps as I have a laugh on them and it wouldn’t be right to overlook that however I do think a carefully written profile with photos that display signs of what you like in others does create a form of wavelength. Now I’m going to sit and read all the replies

This is my problem ....I attract all sorts no matter how clear I try to be on my profile.. I've altered it several times ....initially was polite and welcoming but then I was just overwhelmed with me who voted not take no for no . Took a break changed it up again.....the men I met on the 2nd toss were all about self satisfaction .. now I've changed it to just strictly do parties or group settings ..... and even now I still get all sorts in my inbox ...some days I just block all men and just enjoy the forum.....feel less and less inclined to come on daily .May just disappear for a few months let the frustration work its way out ..

I know and can see its way deeper than we can see. But we need to feel more!!

Some places and things we dont belong in or on.

I really know my 6th sense is telling me the truth clearly!

There clearly is a mindet and vibe set by many and it will continue on. With you, me and without.

We most are seeking a thing beyond the Vanilla option which is very unique and diverse and has many more layers to it,because the complexety of people in the mux. Its yet again powered by " Mindsets " the brain and heart anð intentions coupled with emotions,lusts,desires,passions and our ever changeing moods needs wants will give us this very struggle daily.

One has to seek deep within ourselves,to find who we really are? And our real purpose?

But it's something you have to think about seriously manifesting the things you think you need and not want can change your path entirely. I used to think I wanted certain stuff but didn't need them. Everything in life is energy and without the right balance or mindset it can soon go wrong. We all ask and want a lot of things like anyone else would we all want to rule the world as they say. But I think the most richest person is the one who asks for very little. And appreciate the things they have before demanding more.

The worlds gone into a time where eve one has forgot how to live happy. So many blinded by social media and information what's false why? Because if its reached the media they believe it.

I read recently that achieving your goals is the punishment you get for setting them, and I 100% agree.

I used to achieve every single goal I set , business, career, women and did I make me happy ? So I stopped setting goals and focus on who I want to be not what

You can have anything you want in life , to a degree , there are certain things we can’t have sure to age and physical limitations like I can’t at my age play professional football or be SVP of a top company, but I’m pretty sure with a bit of training and an MBA I could compete nationally and be CEO , if I chose to focus all my energy in that direction.

….or simply start a company with a few investors and make yourself the CEO. Personally, I’d rather sit on a board than be the CEO. Better to be the boss’s boss.

Definitely. I wanted business to be successful I attracted every customer I needed daily. New clients ect right network and changed my circle. It isn't easy and theres no fire without spark u play with matches you get burnt. Going in too deep with needing so much u end up burnt. Greed doesn't pay longterm it fights back one way or another. One thing always said and been taught is to be careful what u wish for.. If its money it got to come from somewhere the devil will work his ways of taking a close one away to give it given the chance. Be pasific and as much info on how u want to be successful write your steps down and read them daily.
