.

I'm not going to comment on the weather because, let's face it - we all know.

So...

What are your go to meals* on a hot day? Anything you particularly love to eat/cook?

*yes I am looking for inspiration. I may be a little bit tipsy and a little bit hungover.

I'm doing simple sale, and a little pasta with red pesto. And hair of the dog at some point if not feeling better soon.

All over

Just grilled stuf (maily fish) and salad mostly for me. I did a spinach and feta pie the other day and that was nice as can eat it either warm or cold with salad.

Too warm for a roast dinner so I'm making fish and chips with a side salad today.

bilston, wolves,walsall, dudley

Now hot weather is here,my favourite food is salad, pasta and smoked salmon,as well as sushi. I eat too much over the winter colder months,so the lighter foods help me lose the weight I put on.

Colourful salads and generally everything gets a bit brighter.

I've got a holiday to Cyprus in 3 months so I'm hoping summer eating makes loosing weight easier.

All the ice cream and beach fish n chips might not though

Delightful Bliss

The heat makes my appetite disappear, so I tend to eat a salad later on the evening and drink fluids in the day

Flagrante

Just had a salad with a bit of fresh salsa to make it zing, and a splash of balsalmic to add flavour without unnecessary calories xx

Carlisle usually

I find the heat makes me not want to eat at all. Unless I get dragged to Albert's Schloss.

A salad with all the fancy trimmings (coleslaw, potato salad etc). Preferably light on the lettuce!

I prefer something on the room temp side; Salmon fillets with a soy sauce glaze and a side of sliced cucumbers.

My friends went out to the pub for a roast dinner, leaving me pressure washing the patio, so I have just had cheese and ham toasties.

Definitely too hot for a roast so just a nice light salad with homemade coleslaw and homemade potato salad

Glasgow

Panzanella. A salad with ripe summer tomatoes, chunks of bread / croutons, quickly pickled onions or shallots, some capers, salt, pepper, good wine vinegar. Variations on this by itself, or with barbecued fish or meat, never get dull. And remainders can be whizzed up into gazpacho the next day.

That's for later, though, as the tomatoes improve. For now, fresh broad beans and peas and new season garlic and asparagus. And sunshine and wine.

Up My Own Arse Apparently

I like a big salad with red onion, peppers, sweetcorn, grated carrot, tomato. Then baby potatoes mixed with veggie sausages (meat if you prefer) in a wee mayo & mustard dressing.

Deepest darkest Peru

I’m following a calorie deficit plan so the weather is definitely helping

I eat a variety of fruit and veg but it’s always more appealing when thinking of dishes to have when the sun shines

Glasgow / London

I make more curries, more stir fries, and more fish dishes when the sun’s out. Less hearty stews and roast dinners.

As i have a salad for dinner, I can get sick of salads very quickly.

yes i will eat them in summer.

theres tripe and udder nice and cool with vineger.

i snack more in summer

crisps sandwhiches are also made

will buy a takeout more.

will cook food much later when its cooled down enough, ive left hot cooked food until later as i just dont want it then due to the heat

I never want anyone to stand over a hot stove and cook for me in summer, i dont like it myself so dont expect others to do it either.
