I like Lush because their staff are mostly women and are so active in attempting to get you buying stuff - its a great opportunity for guys to brush up on their lady skills!

I suppose you could ask them to give you an in store demonstration of their products by stripping off slowly and rubbing themselves with a sensual cleansing scrub - you may get a slap but on the plus side your face will smell like lavender.

"No I find them far too fragrant and false smelling."

A Lush branch in a Glasgow shopping mall had to leave because of complaints about the smell.

They are definitely lush but far too perfumed for me, I prefer my special bits not to be overpoweringly 'smelly' however gorgeous the smell may be. It's just not healthy.

Cheeky sod!! You wait! I've tried one of their chilled face packs and it didn't do much. I've got good skin with only a small rapier scar.

I used to be a mystery shopper for Lush so I've tried loads of their stuff. Don't really rate their bath bubbles etc but their skincare range is awesome, angels on bare skin cleanser is brilliant

Love Lush products. Always have a load in the cupboard.

They used to do a soap called Middle Earth Turns to Mud, which was fantastic. Could still smell it on me 12 hours later.

Bastards discontinued it!

I have used Angels on Bare Skin face cleanser for years, it's made of ground almonds, fullers earth, lavender oil and other things and is great wouldn't use anything else. Their face masks are good too but I wouldn't use any of their highly scented bath bombs etc I prefer subtle when it comes to perfume.

I do not use any scented products except for shampoo/conditioner, hairspray, and perfume-scented body lotion, and perfume itself (only one perfume for the past 20 or so years).

I love Lush, but living in Arse End, my nearest is 150 mile round trip...that's why I always spend a fortune whenever I'm in one!

A world of my own

I can't go in the shop, it makes me sneeze for ages after! Too strong fragrances. Not for me I'm afraid. I'm a fan of Sanctuary, love it, especially their oil body spray it really makes your skin soft and silky.

They are mail order! When you order online they send a newspaper a couple of times per year with new products and offers. All else fails loads on ebay!

Personally love Lush but prefer Victorias Secret

I was an avid fan - until they changed their focus, stopped selling the more 'unusual' scents/ Their customer service is crap - woe betide you if you dare to have an allergic reaction to their products.

They care more about 'the environment' than actually ensuring their products actually do what they are supposed to. They do no testing for either suitability or side effects - at best you end up with stained towels, bath and you, at worst you have a severe allergic reaction

Their 'toothy tabs' put the nail in their coffin for me - they were actively recommending replacing proper toothpaste with their products but had done NO dental tests at all.

Oh and they support PETA.

Oh and their website security or lack of it caused a massive loss of credit card details that weren't just website orders but mail order too.

And their apology was 'oh we're sowwy, here, have some dancing hamsters'

My best friend lost hundreds.

And now they have priced themselves way out of my range.

TLDR: Loved them, now seriosuly disillusioned and they are too damn expensive.

I think their smell is very much a marmite thing, I love it.

The one thing I keep going back for is their massage bars, surprised no-ones mentioned them yet. So much nicer than massage oil.

Yes, they donate to militant activists and PETA is one of the ones they support - they gave them an award:

http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2012-11-21/flora-fauna/35257272_1_cosmetics-tests-animal-tests-chaitanya-koduri

I hate it I really do - I'm *all* for preventing unnecessary animal testing, but PETA and the ALF are terrorists so deserve no support at all.

I did not know they supported PETA, as I am against animal testing I find it incredibly difficult to find cosmetics that do not test, Lush being one of the few, other ones I have tried have irritated my skin too much. PETA are a corporation, they don't care about animals as much as they protest to.

I used to love Lush buy all the bath bombs and bubble bars, however I now find that they cause very dry skin.

Plus the shop assistants are too pushy and try and get you to buy lots of products. Only product I now buy is the lip exfoliator. Will stick to Boots and get my advantage points (Miss).
