I've had a quick peek at it and looked interesting, i've also heard good feedback from all my lady friends.... Is this book only for girls or what?

I read all three buddy because my gf at the time was reading it. Plus I like to see what turns women on.

I thought there were some good bits but mostly it was repetitive and sooo far fetched. Im sure most ppl on here have seen or done more

Probably not but then I found the first one absolutely dire, so badly written that I skipped pages, would never read the second one even if I got it for free

Its a terrible book and has nothing at all to do with BDSM.

My copy is simply occupying space on my hard drive.... None of the other books that are being published are much better either.

I think no one should read it. It is the worst thing I have ever read, I only continued because i couldn't believe how a book written so badly could have so many people talking about it. I kept thinking maybe it gets better...it didn't.

Apart from the poor writing (I read better Mills & Boons when I was a teenager) the BDSM is so tame it's embarrassing.

Try "The Story of O", it's a tad dated but a classic.

I read the books and found the first one quite a good read. The other two are a bit repetitive. There are better and more explicite, without being crude, literature to read. I can understand how it caused a few martial problems in the vanilla world.

An ex girlfriend contacted me out of the blue as a result of reading the book, as her partner was not willing to participate in her growing desire for a BDSM lifestyle. I did not get involved, swinging is one thing, but going behind someone's back is just not playing cricket!

I am an avid reader who is interested in BDSM and all I'll say about 50 shades is the second book is only the second book I've not finished reading in the last 10 years it was that badly written.

For those interested the only other book I've not finished was James Joyce's Ulysses and I've read some pretty bad books in my time.
