Do you work too hard and come home knackered and are good for nothing or are you full of life and ready for anything life throws at you? Well are you?

I used to. Got a new job 3 months ago where I mostly work from home with a little UK travel. Demanding but not as draining so I now have capacity for swinging and socialising hence my 2 month journey on here.

I have a full time job and a part time job. I'm nearly always tired but I cram as much in to my time as possible because life is short.

Not anymore. I’ve burned out on the past and it’s for nothing. By 4/5pm I’m thinking of the gym or my evening plans.

It's a bit of both really. Some weeks I am completely knackered and just veg out between sleeping and working while on others I have all the energy

I've worked long crazy hours in previous jobs and still found energy and motivation to play sports or go hillwalking after.

The last 18 months have been very challenging though.

I'm in a stress free job with much better hours but am ready for bed by 8pm most days.

Ongoing health issues aren't funny anymore.

In the west.

I come home shattered every night not because, at present, I'm over worked but because I'm fed up with it an needing a change.

I'd prefer to be physically tired than the mind numbing tired I feel just now.

Next Door

I work from home, but have been doing stupid hours for around 9 mths.

Totally knackered most days and don't really didnt much on weekdays.

Now my workload has got more manageable I'm back working my contracted hours and started doing more on weekdays.

I'm hoping to change all that in a few weeks time. I've no idea what I will do though, but it's exciting.

I am fortunate I am now working 99% from home and the work is steady but not exhausting at all.

Unfortunately, I cannot make the most of the energy I have, in terms of sexual adventures.

Exactly why I retired Early.

Working offshore on the oilrigs can completely burn you out

But if you manage your wages and pension it can set you up for a long healthy retirement

My work isn't physical but can be mentally draining. If I have a really stressful day it can take me a while to recover and feel sociable.

I tend to arrange to meet on days when I think work will be less stressful - no headache-inducing meetings planned, no projects reaching crisis point.

Delightful Bliss

I work 16 hour days, running a home, full time employment, plus managing small people, which is almost never ending weekdays.

This is why my weekend adventures are so precious to me
