I did once post a couple of mundane like status's for a chuckle.

Something stupid like I've done the washing and now need to go to the shop for rice.

Had a few messages that led to a good chuckle, and an attacking message with a similar but more aggressive vibe to the initial post here.

It all comes down to perception.

I don't often check status updates, though when I have some have really made me smile and have prompted some great conversations.

I know what you mean though OP, there's someone local who constantly seems poised to leave the site and provides a countdown "4 days left, get in quick if you want to meet"

"3 days left so message me your socials if you want to keep in touch"

Based on the fact that every time I look he seems to be there saying the same stuff, I'm guessing it's not particularly successful.

My ex FWB went ape over one of my friends pasting a status update from that Forum game - abusive messages to my friend and then took it out on me for associating with such a reprobate.

I like being notified of the status updates of friends and those on my hotlist. I also like the humourous ones and the cryptic ones.

It’s a brave, brave game to take part in, and yes, consequences both good and bad, but hilarious if taken in the correct spirit. I’m sure I have less hotlists to worry about being removed from than yourself lol
